I was at the ground, spoke to the city and Barrow squad including both managers. Nobody wanted this game off nor could they understand the decision.

Spoke to one of the ground staff and he actually said the ref gave the managers the choice and Alexander wanted it off but then after speaking to Graham outside the ground I got the impression he was as disapponted as the fans and was apologetic.

We'll be on equal games played with almost everyone else after today and then a few teams will have played more on Tuesday.

Nope, weather related postponements are obviously an ‘act of God’ obviously different to a postponement when there are no weather issues and it is the only game called off in the country including non league.

If there were any concerns around the pitch then surely an earlier inspection would have been advised.
This is in the hands of Barrow.
They've not even tried to get the pitch in a position to be playable as they've been complacent, so the complaint they've supposedly put in is irrelevant.
A fine for the postponement should apply to them shouldn't it??
If not then why should it only be Bradford City FC and it's supporters who lose out financially??

 

Just listened to Pete Wilds interview. He said what actually happened was the ref asked them both, and they both said “you are the ref, it is your decision” but they both wanted it on. Wild was very sympathetic to Bradford fans and players, as well as his own club - hospitality sold out, local suppliers losing out etc. Ref gets paid either way and doesn’t have to answer to any of us, bastard needs sacking
