Everything about our club is built on cheap tickets being shifted in volume.

once you set your prices for next year, that’s it. You can’t revise them.

as it happens, whether they are frozen or increased, the fans already have enough reason to boycott now.

Our sponsors and partners won’t be happy when we’ve signed agreements and expect 15k through the gate, but we’re only getting two thirds of that on a match day.

A big drop in ST sales causes a domino effect and Rupp has to then wake up.

I believe that was the hope when Julian made the offer back in 2007 I believe it was on the provisor we sold was it 10,000 + if not they would stay at the normal price, as you say more bums on seats should equate to moving more food and drink and more club merchandise.

So what I’m hearing here is that there’s a hope / expectation that loyal fans should make sacrifices they don’t want to in an attempt to facilitate the decline of the club further in a hope that this motivates Rupp to act.
It sounds like too much to ask with no guarantee of success and higher risk that we slip into the NL and never return in my lifetime.
    I’m out!

The only thing that will happen then is instead of a top three budget we will have a lower league two budget.

In essence I understand loyalbantams point. No business lowers it's price unless it's a last ditch attempt to sell the product. Rhodes didn't drop ticket prices because he thought he was some white knight coming in to give football back to the working class, he did it because he was up schitt creek without a paddle, desperation stakes. Every customer of every business, and football is no different, is a cashcow that needs to be miles for every possible penny.

And there’s a small group of breakaway rebels who organised an amateurish get together that are striving for Rupps operating criteria to fail even if that means relegation.
    It defies belief.

I believe he offered it under his terms 10,000+ I could be wrong but I think it finished nearer 14,000 so as I posted that would bring more none football revenue in but only if we got the figure quoted by the club, not sure he thought of himself as a knight in shining armour he'd have done the figures 10,000+ would bring us more money in if as I say increased the none football income, also allowing the average Joe a chance to come and in many cases bring his family along which would not be the case if the season tickets had been at normal prices for league two football.

I'm not sure there's any malice involved well I hope not, although I don't know their background apart from them being like us long suffering Bradford City fans.
I hope they get a response from Rupp because he's the only person who can change anything at the club.
We as fans can agree or disagree because we believe we have the answers going forward, whether that's right or wrong we share the same emotions on a Saturday afternoon I very much doubt Rupp looks at the results at 5 0'clock on a Saturday evening.

There may well need to be a similar plan this coming season where it’s announced that to keep prices low there needs to be a 12000 uptake. Below that number and prices increase on a sliding scale.

If by a 'small group of breakaway rebels' you're referring to the new Independent Supporters Group then they appear to have done more in the past week or so than came out of the Radio Leeds Fans Forum. They've already accumulated 700 supporters which already makes it the largest City supporter group. They've forwarded a letter to Rupp together with hundreds of questions from individual members in order to make him aware of the disquiet amongst the fan base and to engage the owner in some discussion on the direction of the club as he sees it. Who knows whether they'll be successful or not but personally I wish them well. If not, who knows what the club's future will be without a new leadership whose vision extends beyond simply making the books balance.

How does that work? Sales only start once prices are announced. You can’t then force fans who bought to pay an extra £50 once they’ve bought their ticket.

You need to try gauge uptake BEFORE setting prices.

I wouldnt trust Gent and co to get it right with the best budget in this division...........makes no difference what size the budget is if you aint got the folk in place to spend it wisely

Only way is to set a deadline... After a certain date prices go up if target not met

Those that pay before the deadline gets discounted prices then it goes up and it's fingers crossed

I can’t remember how it worked when Rhodes offered it. Maybe @Bronco@Bronco can remember.

Rupp will think twice about the value of the club if he has to put in £1m a season.
Offers that are being turned down, at the moment, of £7-8m, might suddenly look more appealing.

I think the deal was last time that you agreed to pay x amount for your ticket, but didn’t actually pay for it there and then. If we reached the magic number by a certain date then the price would be as quoted. If not you would pay for the original price.

    Fair.

In the past I think fans would then buy at the last min to avoid the hike. If a boycott happens this time those abstaining have the option of watching games on Ifollow (firesticks or legit), and won’t miss the matches fully, so would be interesting to see how it pans out!
