what gives the impression that Cook an Young dont get on?

 

Mixture of a previous post from last night plus an older one stating JY and AC having a bust up were the reasons for JY's stint in Wiltshire. Maybe I shouldn't believe everything I read but often no smoke without fire

 

Players clash all the time, or at least that’s what you often hear from ex-pro’s. Countless of stories most notably how Cole and Yorke didn’t get on.

Maybe Cook should spend some time looking at Youngs performance the other night - his endeavour, positive attitude, willingness to try something - and perhaps spend less time throwing his hands in the air, moaning at others when he didn’t get the pass he wanted etc .

Cook has been and is an extremely important player for us. Last season nothing other than outstanding. However this season both his form and attitude that he gives off during games doesn’t match up to last season (he’s not on his own BTW). Hoping we have someone come in before deadline day to challenge him for his spot.

 

@Ollylondonbantam total agree re competition for Cook. Needs to up his game this season

 

I think it was Sheringham and Cole that didn’t get on.

 

They didn't talk at all, it was all down to teddy not shacking his hand one time when getting subbed.

Just seen the highlights… if cook had any ball control he would have scored… everything wrong with his play is evident in this video.. ball to his feet and he still manages to miss it.. schoolboy error

 

I'd have been very disappointed as a team if we hadn't been given a penalty off the back of Platts manhandling of their striker from the corner, i can only assume the ref hasn't seen it.

 

When I saw it I thought it was a nailed on penalty.

 

Hard for me to tell at the game from the view in the lower kop but having spoke to a couple of Wimbledon fans walking into town and having seen the video it's definitely a penalty.

 

I said so in real timeRT. Awful!

 

They do not give pens for jostling in the box anymore in the EFL. I have watched lots of games across the three divisions. It’s an unwritten directive imho.A free for all.

 

It was a tough game to ref yesterday what with players throwing themselves to the floor and a lot of shirt pulling/body checking, especially to Jake Young but really a decent ref shouldn't be getting that wrong.
