I'll stick my c*ck on the block and say I think he would be a Superb signing think Watt with 10 plus years experience. Stll think we need someone more mobile but I'd love it if we signed him!

 

Absolutely unreal player for league 2 would just let him dictate the play pure class

 

Thats the problem, if he was more mobile he would still be in the top tiers.

His brain, ability and size will all be an asset though.

I just read Wrexham,s CEO give an interview with Louise Minchin of BBC breakfast fame and their turnover for last season with the sponsorships, and all the other things going on was £20 million eh! That's more than some championship clubs.

 

He's got a lot of rich mates has Ryan.

While we're getting very acceptable sponsorship from very local companies, they're getting stuff like VistaPrint for back-of-shirt sponsors, and Blake Lively is sponsoring the front.

Different bloody class.

 

So from this are we to take it that we already have some quality signings in the bag that haven't been announced yet? Because with all due respect to Oduor and Taylor, I would be very surprised if we've beaten off competition from any of our rivals for their signatures and if we had, you can bet your bottom dollar that we'd have been told about it.

 

Curle sent Oduor home early, so I don't think even Hartlepool were in for him.

Taylor, we know, has turned down Kilmarnock to come here. They wanted him to stay. Since he wasn't released, it probably reduces the number of clubs interested.

But in any event, I'm not sure that statement implies we have quality signings 'in the bag', it just says we're competing - which I'm sure we are - not every player is going to turn down City for Gillingham, and not every player is going to turn down Wrexham for Bradford either. Williams, inexplicably, did both.

 

I mentioned it on the Wrexham thread earlier on, these guys have made a non league club going absolutely nowhere into a global brand. And off the back of the genius of Ryan Reynolds. The guy isn't just a very good actor, he's a very astute businessman. The perfect storm. He's also clever enough to understand how the history of our football over here.Could easily see them in the championship in 3 or 4 years.

I also think he knows you don't just buy your way to success. He found that out when they didn't even get promoted from non-league last season. While they're only going to go upwards in terms of trajectory, you would think, that doesn't make them promotion certainties every season like they're bound to be touted.

3 or 4 years until they reach the Championship is probably spot on. League Two is a tough one, but League One is becoming a bit of a beast of a division.

 

Their ability to attract the marquee type of player stands them out in league 2, if they continue the momentum next season then i see no reason they can't do the same in league 1. They offer something no other club can, their players become household names across the globe, especially in North America.

 

How does it just say we're competing? It says and I quote, 'we have already, and will continue to, beat a number of our rivals to secure the players we believe will help us to ensure we go one better this season'.
If we've ALREADY beaten a number of our rivals to secure these players, then that must surely mean they've already been signed. Either he is talking about Oduar and Taylor in which case, it's a lie, or he's talking about players that are in the bag and haven't been announced yet.

 

As I said it’s about celebrity and social media followings. Yes they have exploited it well as I am sure the present set up at this club would with those sort of connections. Let’s get lobbying a few of them to get some interest

 

It’s already been stated we are close to two midfield signings but as we have found out it’s very competitive at the moment not just for us don’t forget the mighty Wrexham lost out to Gillingham to for Williams

 

Saints have released a few players. I wonder if Hughes is aware of any youngsters or Lewis has a mate thats looking to join him up north.
