This has come from Rupp's Instagram apparently when asked about Banks

 

Mix messages RS said on radio Leeds we are self sustainable and not relying on Rupp ultimately. Yet that message seems to suggest he’s willing. Ok not directly but you can read between lines of the comment. Maybe the penny is dropping that the more you put in sensibly buying assets will help grow his investment. Not holding my breath but you never know

 

More likely that we are doing well at self sustainablity with season tickets sales all the walk up this season and the good job they have done with sponsorship and other commercial deals. I reckon we should have a decent budget next season boosted by the extra money if we go up

 

I think on Banks specifically, he could be pointing out that funds won't be the reason we don't sign Banks. More likely it will be a higher/better offer that will likely come his way in the next few weeks. If we are still in L2, we probably don't have a hope in signing him.

 

I’m watching the Sunderland game, and was reminded of that quality winger they sent on loan to Harrogate and Lincoln. Jack Diamond. Had a quick Google. Oh dear.

 

He's paid fees for players before and given out high wages. Keep up. Hating Rupp is becoming weird

 

Its a long way from Crystal Palace permanently as well. You would imagine clubs closer to home could be sniffing around - Charlton, Oxford, Wycombe etc.

 

Luke Garbutt released by Blackpool. Decent, goal scoring left back with lots of experience at League 1 level. Turns 30 years old in a few days and originally from Harrogate so maybe one to consider.

Curtis Nelson, centre back released as well. Also got good experience and a solid Championship defender up until this season.

Joe Ironside released by Cambridge. Very solid partnership with Mullin a couple of years ago and 14 in 38 goals at L1 level last season. Not had a great season this term but aged 29, he isnt over the hill yet and he is also from Middlesborough.

 

Hes from Scotland, doubt he he has family in London, so would be closer to home coming here than those clubs!

 

I think he has bought in to the culture of our club, If we cannot afford the quality that Banks offers then we should just pack up ...

Bradley Dack released by Blackburn. Had injuries last few years and will probably have to drop down to L1. Wonder if his mates Richie and Chappers could convince

 

Banks is Scottish and I believe his 3 yr contract (Jan 2020) maybe up this year ....so a move to Bradford (if we go up to League one) ,is the type of player we should be bringing in permanent......unless Palace have offered him another contract

 

Yeh, we need 1 or 2 we could potentially develop to flog on for big bucks. The only one we have with any value is Lewis.

 

Wouldn't have thought so, he'll be on probably treble what our top earner is on.

 

You have to be brave to take a chance on Dack these days, with both legs having ACLs injuries and a year out both times, he is a shell of the player he was. He has 20 league starts over the last 3 seasons, is no where near as mobile as he once was after major surgery on both knees, he is going to have to find some way of changing his game to try carry on his career.

He lives in a massive mansion in Cheshire and will likely be sticking around there for his missus TV show..... Cheshire.... reality TV.... if only there was a newly bound L2 club with stonk loads of money and a TV show he could join up with

 

Dack was on 12k a week at Blackburn. Quality player but out of our reach financially.

 

Absolutely deluded of you to think Bradley Dack would have joined a League Two team in January. You are slightly less deluded if he think he will join in the summer
