Away Ticket Fiasco vs Carlisle

I’ve just read that Carlisle have an unbeaten 37 (thirty seven) year home record against us

 

Records are there to be broken.

 

Yes we have a shocking record there but havent played them that many times over the years. The record is irrelevant anyway for these play offs.

 

As far as I'm aware there's no way we can just give an away club 2,000 tickets without leaving empty seats somewhere. The TL Dallas is 1800, the 2 blocks of Midland Road is 1100 and the other blocks of Midland Road must be 2,400. It would mean reconfiguring the concourse areas in Midland Road to create a 2,000 section at either end.

 

We could give them 2k tickets in the setup that has been there all season, they just don't sell the lower tier of the Bradford end and leave them empty. However we could sell the lower tier and give them about the same they are getting now without pissing off those in Midland Road.

It all looks to me as the Old Bill sticking their nose in and asking for fans to be stuck in 1 stand, and if that is the case if the club just said so they would get rid of most of this agro.

 

If it's on the say so of the Police then they are idiots. There's going to be home and away fans next to each other at both ends of MR now, effectively doubling their and the stewards work.

Answering my Own question but we took 1314 and It didn’t sell out

 

It was the boxing day game. No trains and one of those places which you expect postponements.

If we took 1300 mid season we will easily take whatever they give us.

 

Surely nobody is suggesting that we won’t sell out the away game.?
We’d take 5000 there if they gave us that many.

You’re definitely getting blocks 2 & 3, and I would guess some of block 4 dependant on how they set the tarpaulin. As the picture shows, was to the left for the Salford game but I’d be surprised if it was in the same place, it’s too big a block to solely use as a no mans land.

Block 1 is the now non-existent slither covered in tarpaulin at the far left that’s unused.

All depends on police and safety folk I suppose. Personally think you should get half of block 4, tarpaulins on the other half bar leaving a single line to the right for stewards to sit in as it is beside a staircase etc.

The uncovered terrace is definitely home only though.

If you'll sell out the home spaces then it's absolutely fair to restrict the capacity for away fans but if the crowd is a few thousand short of that it ends up being frustrating that you've unused capacity that isn't used while fans who would like to attend, can't.

Especially since you have the terrace that generally isn't used so segregation isn't an issue.

 

So the bare minimum. Which raises the question why the hell are we moving a few thousand season ticket holders to give you more than the mandatory 2,000.

What's to misundstand. The number 2,000 is pretty easy to spot.
Then again after this ticket shambles we have seen the amateur dealing of simple things rise to the top again. Just like ideas for loyalty points for kiosk purchase. Stupid ideas to complicate simple things.
