Home Ticket Fiasco vs Carlisle

There were issues with the system and I am not sure they have been fixed but to get round these issues I signed in on my daughters account, added myself under friends and family and bought 2 tickets.

When I tried to do this under my account the 8 others I have under friends and family were appearing in my basket with no way to remove them.

By doing this and other people doing likewise my friend now only has his and his kids tickets in the basket as everyone has used the work around.

There was no point in ringing the club, I hear that it's impossible to get through and heading down to the ground was out of the question.

 

Went down the old fashioned route.
Went to ticket office.
Even then I was questioned on my son's season ticket as they couldn't get his details on my account.
'Does he sit next to you??'
Well erm yes of course
The look on the guy's face was real resignation about the situation.
No apology though for the situation which I know isn't his fault but as customer service goes it was poor at the least.
I queued for 20 mins if anyone else fancies going down.
Queue was a steady 25-35 deep at all times.
If you are going for more than just yours make sure you have all the details needed for the ones you are getting, names, customer number, addresses, just to be safe.
Saw a few get a ticket but we're told to come back for more tickets due to lacking in details.

I understand that, but i also like the idea of our fans behind each goal. We need to gain as much advantage as we can.
How often have we been turned around and performed poorly.

 

that is why I haven’t. I’m currently off work due to anaphylaxis last week so am supposed to be resting so don’t fancy standing in queue for ages. Others in group are working except my dad who will go down tomorrow afternoon if needed

None of that makes any sense

 

We’ll not being able to purchase my season ticket seat because of a glitch even when logged into my account, had to select other seats in the Sunwin Stand, on two occasions today driving back from Kent spent 1 hour on the phone to request a change and same voice message, what crap customer service soon take your money off you because they been clever getting them on sale the same day. Now looks like a trip to the ticket office before general sale!!

Plus side I know the words off by heart to ‘ take me home Midland Road’

As I understand it, you can work out how to buy tickets in your own seats, you need to buy 8 that are linked and although it's not working normally, you don't have any issues.

Is that right?

I've done that but my seats ate unavailable. Then it only let's get one at a time . Normally I can buy them all at once!

I copied my email to Ryan and Marco to the supporters board. I have had a reply from them which I reproduce below.
It seems the club and the supporters board are both under the mistaken impression that we have to give 10% of our allocation to Carlisle.

"Thanks for forwarding a copy of your email to us. We are aware of the strength of feelings for some of those affected by this decision. Every time the club have made the choice to relocate home fans to accommodate away it causes the same issues.

As a board we were not consulted on this change, but they did briefly discuss the rationale in our last meeting with them towards the end of April. Essentially we are obliged to give a minimum of 10% of seating to away fans for a fixture of this type. That is a good proportion of the midland road stand in itself.

They also have listened to fan feedback about wanting to use the Bradford End TL Dallas stand for home fans too and wanted to add to the atmosphere by letting our fans be behind both goals.

The final reason is undoubtably the money. If Carlisle sell their allocation (which the expectation is they will), and our fans are accommodated into the other 3 stands then that is a large amount of income and another record crowd. The only way they wouldn’t have made this decision would have been if had been playing Salford. The percentage allocation is apparently only enforced if the away team can sell that many.

I’m certainly not saying we agree as a Supporters Board with all of the above (some of our members are affected in the same way as you) but they are the reasons they told us. Also to reiterate the Club made this decision without consulting with our Supporters Board.

I think given the unforeseen technical issues with tickets last night too it probably has heightened everyone's feelings on this.

I hope you get a prompt reply from the club though, but please be assured we did discuss and challenge this situation at length in our meeting but the decision had already been finalised at that point."

They also don't seem to understand that income is shared and we would sell out anyway.

Deary me, they keep digging a hole that should never have been started. How about an apology for making a cockup then we can move on and get on with the game.

 

What worries me is that they genuinely seem not to understand the rules.
