I always remember it being very flat,so it kept all it’s momentum right in to the area.

It always makes me laugh now when some fans describe our “long” throws that barely get in to the area.
Challinor could put it on,or past the penalty spot with relative ease.

We know how hard they can be to defend, I belive it was when he played for Cheltenham last few minutes Paudie takes one of their players out on the touch line up steps Tozer launches the ball into the box and they score from the long throw.

It looked to me like he didn't fancy finishing up wrapped around the goal post, without doubt Big Bobby Campbell would have taken the gamble.

Enjoyed my trip down to Wimbledon yesterday.

Whilst not particularly big, their new ground is very smart and the facilities in the away end were very good.

On the walk to the new ground, I passed the memorial to the old ground, just a bit further along Plough Lane.

Bobby would have put the keeper and the post in the back of the net along with the ball. Vadaine lacked determination to put the ball in the net and win the 3 points . He is not the only player that appears not to want to give their all i games.

When you consider the way Man Utd played with Hughes in the side, it's disappointing we seem to be the complete opposite. Those sides attacked at pace and always had numbers in the box. Their centre halves, Pallister and Bruce, scored more than their fair share. They had wingers who had pace and trickery - Giggs and Kanchelskis. They played with a combination of forwards, but always two. Now, they were quality players, but the philosophy can be replicated if only Hughes would allow our squad to do the same and take the handbrake off.

The argument between Cook and Oliver is intriguing. When Cook is on form he's undroppable, but when he starts to wane (as we started to see) he offers nothing and brings nothing to the table. The ball comes straight back. Now Oliver may not be breaking the scoring records, but if you're going to have a non scoring forward in the side, at least have one that can win the ball against the defenders. Its now down to Cook to show he's back in form during the cameo roles he's having. With that all said, it wouldn't surprise me if he left during this window.

Probably very similar in points returned per match. The point is Cook has been made the scapegoat by Hughes and dropped.
Vadaine has come in and done no better and in my opinion worse, he also has had another player up front with him in Wright and then Eisa, Where Cook was mostly left on his own all season to get battered by two ugly arsed centre halves, i am amazed he has got the goals he has.

Bobby would have taken a chunk out of the post with his head and still scored.

For that total lack of desire, which to me is unforgivable, Cook needs to take his place on Saturday.
Any striker worth his salt would have broken a gut to make sure he got that.
Let's see a Cook/Eisa partnership, (or maybe Cook/Derbyshire?) and see what that produces.

Yesterday was Wimbledon's 26th league match this season.

They lost 7 of their first 13, picking up only 12 points.
The last 13 have seen only 1 defeat, picking up 24 points.

In the context of the above, with their significantly improved form, I don't see a draw at Wimbledon as a bad result; it has been other matches where we have let ourselves down.

Hopefully, the new players will bed in quickly and we can now start to push on. We have 40 points from 25 matches. Another 40 to 42, from 21 matches, will probably be required for the last automatic spot; it's far from impossible, but we will need to show a clear improvement, if we are to get there.

Considering the amount of time the two new players have had at the club I thought they did well in a stop start game with very little from either team to suggest their would be a winning outcome.
Whistle happy referees seldom let what you have served Infront of your eyes entertain you that was clearly was the case yesterday.
Both goalkeepers produced good saves but neither were troubled to be fair.
Over 10 hours on the road to be rewarded with a uninspired performance except for a red card fully deserved which in the grand scheme of things could have proved very costly and made the whole trip even worse but for dogged defending at the end

It looks like one of those mock up design pictures, where they use graphics to try and imagine what buildings and so on would look like in real life.

Harrogate and Salford were probably the best two home performances of the season due in no small part to Oliver holding the ball up and winning headers and scoring 2 goals. I know we could do with cook in the team for his goals but not leading the line he just isn’t good enough at it. And is forever fouling and giving the ball back to the opponent’s
