I hope Liz didn't take his expensive wallpaper down. Although I'm not sure she had time anyway.

She probably still had the good luck in your new job cards left on the mantlepiece.

I'm no Tory fan by any stretch of the imagination however, the world is a completely different place than the December '19 election. You can blame the Tories for a lot of things (and I do) but the CV19 pandemic occurring cannot be ignored as an enormous, worldwide societal game changer. I think any party would struggle to work to their mandate under those constraints. Perhaps that should mean we go to the polls again for another GE.

Incidentally, the SNP want the referendum this time next year and I'll be voting Aye.

The CV19 pandemic gave the Tories the opportunity to give away billions to their donor mates for useless and non existent PPE. We, the taxpayers footed the bill for that. Totally unforgivable.

And would have been worse under Labour, who wanted longer and harder lockdowns. Our country and policy decisions now seem to be led by the WEF and global corporations rather than any credible or autonomous political party. Society is imploding, in my view.

The only reason they wanted harder and longer lockdowns was just so that they could argue a point against Boris. They'd have done just the same.

Seems like all the Tories have to defend themselves these days is inventing fictitious scenarios, throwing their arms out and going "would have been even worse under Labour!". Good grief.

Thirty nine points behind in the polls, lads.

You mean the same Tories who paid your salaries and mortgages while you sat at home following the science for 18 months or so
dont you remember your furlough holiday?
    Short memories these socialists
All back to the 70s and strikes everywhere and unions thinking they can run the country
Someone occasionally has to pay the bills for the socialists when inevitably they run out of money
Thank God for the grown ups in the Treasury getting back to Sunakonomics

No furlough holiday for me. I worked throughout lockdown on track and trace.

Deeply weird flex to a very salient point to shoehorn 50 year old politics into the issue.

I also worked, other people were off on furlough and when they came back they had the same holiday entitlement as me.

Wouldn’t worry yourself too much. Most of the left are relishing the prospect, too.

To be totally honest I don’t think the Tory party or any Conservative Member of Parliament, or any Conservative Party Member paid us.

The money came from the British Treasury and will be underwritten ‘in simple terms’, by borrowing, which the great British Public will repay through Taxation.

So we paid for it, not some Tory Money Tree Fairy!

However I personally welcome the fact that you have volunteered that all Tories willpay off Furlough.

    Wonderful gesture!

I will buy you a coffee in thanks.
