Good on Dion for impressing. To be honest, I didn't realise he's going to be 24 at the end of the season and he's never held a spot down in a team. Needs a good run for the good of his career, if he doesn't get it by Jan at Luton he'll want to be playing somewhere else in no time.

 

See what you did there. I would like to see us enquire about him for sure, a cheeky bid to Sunderland for a permanent signing

 

Don't think he'll be going anywhere until Sunderland sign some forwards. He's playing up front again tonight against Hartlepool.

Fair play to Dion. Would love him to return but if he's beginning to realise his obvious talent then I'm sure he'll become an asset to Luton this season. Hope he does well and finally gets his career going.

 

We were linked with Brunt from Sheffield United on here. He's signed on loan for Boreham Wood.

 

Along with my supposed knowledge Callum Roberts has now signed for Aberdeen from notts county which is the equivalent of league one/two I reckon we have missed a trick on this one

 

One who hasn't gone anywhere yet is Elliot Anderson. Absolute dynamite for Bristol Rovers last year and probably unrealistic but as they say, if you don't ask .........

Not transfer news as such, but there's a rumour Drury is going to be the new U15 coach at Man U. Would be a blow to lose him, he's done wonders with the younger lads.

 

How about a cheeky bid to Arsenal to bring Beth Mead back to Yorkshire.

Interesting comment perhaps….Over 18k tickets sold and MH didn’t deny it? Possibly the record going for the second game on the spin. We shall see?

 

Yep according to Twitter Donny have sold just about all their tickets with just a 100 available on the day

 

I found it refreshing to hear a manager saying we shouldn't see a big crowd as a negative. For too long it's been used as an excuse - we're everyone's cup final, teams raise their game when they come here etc etc, it's no wonder our home record has been so poor with an attitude like that. Hughes sees it for the advantage it should be, hopefully that will rub off on the players as well.

Halifax have signed 2 defenders in the last 2 days so Staunton isn't going there.
Maybe a wake up call for him if he can't get a loan to the NL.

 

I seem to remember he was reluctant to go out on loan last season and wonder if that's the case this year as well. Hughes couldn't have been clearer in his presser today, his chances this season with City are going to be very limited and if an opportunity comes up to go elsewhere, he and some of the other younger lads need to take it, no matter where it is.
