Played some decent football first half and looked full of goals. Bit disjointed second half. Don't know lots of the players, but Angol, Cook and Staunton looked good who I recognised. Who was the 17?

 

Lewis in the three games I’ve seen looks very good. Commanding, good with feet and uses his whole box.
We weren’t up against the best opposition but other than FCD leaving his man unmarked again (like the Derby goal) we looked a very efficient and organised side.
The more I see if Harratt the more I like him - really aggressive and direct style. Young is direct as well.
Liking what I see a lot so far!

I’m sorry but FCD cannot do that….A pattern emerges! He’s got to go on loan to gain experience, or be sold. If fans notice then the management will notice.

Totally agree with this, possibly the signing I have been most impressed with so far.

Commanding, excellent with both feet and doesn’t panic. Spreads himself very well when closing down, probably the one area not seen anything of his his ability to pull off a ‘worldie’ save but that could be down to his positioning.

Definitely an upgrade thus far.

 

well positioning is everything for a goalkeeper. If you know your angles, you don’t have to resort to making worldie saves. To say that in the game’s weve seen Lewis in so far, he hasn’t had to make any saves of said caliber, shows Hughes has done very well in addressing a position that has been an issue for the better part of 2-3 seasons now

 

Early days to say that yet he is on the small side and hasn’t been tested much from crosses

 

6’3 according to the internet, wouldn’t mind being that small.

 

Height isn’t as big of a factor when it comes to keepers. Keylor Navas is on the smaller side an is world class. Good positioning can compensate for height. As long as Lewis is capable of conducting the back line in an orderly fashion, I wouldn’t be overly worried about opposition lobbing balls into our box on a weekly basis.

But having a manager whom appears to want play the majority of the game in the oppositions half, will also help greatly
