Based on a betting list that's all we have to go on.
    Who's actually applied?
    Who's been interviewed?
    Who even wants the job?
Will Rupp fly over in person or simply conduct interviews via Zoom?
Tell you what it will be a brave individual or daft one to even think about taking the Bradford job.

How many managers have Morais or Jones appointed?

Morais on the radio said there’d be hundreds applying for the job.
I wonder if Evans was there on his own steam, or was he invited?

After getting Doncaster to top end of League 1 and Hull to the Championship, I'm not convinced he's going to drop down to League 2.

I reckon on his own steam. He really is pimping himself for the job publicly. Mind you, having seen our lot, he might change his mind on his declaration that he would get us into the playoffs this season, and now not bother pursuing his interest.

None as far as I know but they will certainly know people in the game who would be able to get feedback on candidates. Sparks hasn't appointed a single manager that's worked out during his tenure I'd suggest he needs all the help he can get.

Morais said yesterday that he knows people at Forest Green and he knows the in-depth process they followed to appoint the current Manager. Surely Morais can help.

He has only been CEO for just over a year he inherited McCall, T&S were caretaker turned permanent who kept us from the national league. So really the only manager he has recruited was Adams and it is only with the benefit of hindsight that he can be blamed for that failure. I am sure with this appointment he will be talking to various people and after Adams taking extra due diligence

Manager is not the issue. Are only hope is someone like David Baldwin returning to the top and grabbing the club by the balls. He would use some initiative and intelligence, which isn’t two words you use with Sparks and Rupp.

I think Sparks is too stubborn and wants to prove he’s his own man. Just like trying to run the club without the financial help of Rupp to prove he can do it alone. Approach Warnock or Rednapp, someone with experience to advise on the process, but bring in someone until the end of the season whilst this is ongoing.

I get what you're saying and agree in part that Sparks should be willing to accept help during the process, which should be a full and comprehensive selection process, not just plumbing for the first bloke that his buddy McAnthony has suggested to him. I just done think the likes of Jones or Morais are qualified to assist with this. Great players, get the club but are not experienced enough imo to provide enough support to Ryan at such a critical time. If Paul Jewell/Warnock were free to assist, on a short term consultation basis, I think that could be priceless

    Good shout about Jewell.

Try and persuade him to come in short term to oversee the recruitment process for our next manager. Take time to interview as many potentially suitable candidates as possible, take their time to get it right.

We are not going down or reaching the playoffs with this squad, whoever manages them, so leave Trueman in temporary charge until we can appoint the right man to come in permanently and start preparing for the rebuild in earnest.

After that, if Jewell wad interested in a more permanent DOF role, pull out the stops to do that, and leave Sparks to the commercial side of business, a role he is clearly good at

I am not keen on Evans, but are people now saying anyone who has committed an offence, should not gain employment ever again in the future. If he is the best candidate you emply him. I support Bradford city, not the chairman the CEO or the manager. Hopefully the club will still be going long after all have moved on.
No manager can gaurantee success , its a gamble a roll of the dice, pot luck.
We are in the shit and i can not see where the next point is coming from , we could drop like a stone and nothing should be off the table at this time. Even offering Evans a short term deal , to see if he can get a tune out of these gutless players.
We go down to the conference, we are probably finished as Valley parade will be a millstone around our necks. Will the players care, no , they pick up their wages and move on . Ryan will get another job And Stephan will write off his losses.
We the fans will be the ones that suffer and lose something dear to us.

Agree. He did not do a good job at Bournemouth. They had great resources and he failed in his objective.

Why would Rupp get involved (apart from him being the owner) he has given Ryan his backing as club CEO, we know he has little knowledge of football the less decision making from Rupp the better for all.
Ryan gets his list of candidates interviews them, makes a short list, reinterviews and comes to his decision, then IMO is the time to make his points to Rupp why he has selected that candidate etc, I honestly don't see any point in Rupp having any involvement on football matters, take away Ryan's time at Valley Parade and just how much football background knowledge does Ryan have, I get he may be doing an excellent job at Valley Parade with none football matters but like it or not we have the right to question almost all his football decisions.
Maybe he would get more input from the Posh owner although he's already nailed his colours to the mask saying Evans is the man.

Whoever ends up being manager, Sparks should have no say in the matter whatsoever. We badly need another member of staff at the club that actually has a clue about getting a club vision for the immediate future put together.

Keep repeating myself, but what has Evans done in the last 8 or 9 years to justify considering him. Notwithstanding his past misdemeanours, he is a spent force
