Not sure if they've paid out yet or not, but last night Wellens was 4/9 on William Hill, but when i've checked this morning, the marketing is missing? But yeah, Wellens today it seems.

Well if Wellens kets hope he is better than his record of been sacked at all the clubs he has managed for poor results apart from Swindon where he won the title due to covid ending the season early

 

Won a trophy at Salford and probably unfairly sacked there

 

We are not impatient far from it. However, we do need a plan that is visible for everyone to see and get on board if it takes 2/3 years, we can live with that as long as we see improvement.

 

I was just saying last night that I was legitimately excited for the first time in years that the club was about to get something right

A legendary figure like Jewell, the first person at the club since Stuart that would have an aura, installed in the correct position with the right amount of power to take control of the club

We could all breathe a little easier and celebrate a top class appointment for once, a really smart move

Now I read it's going to be a head of recruitment

This club is the biggest and most predictable let down in football

Bradford City are a trash club. They are losing my support.

 

We actually need all three DOF, Head of Recruitment and a Coach/Manager. So even if it is not announced to day, I cannot believe the club would lose this opportunity to install a DOF. I have my fingers crossed for Jewel.

 

So if it is Wellens. Why is Trueman taking charge on Saturday or is that T and A bullshit.
Parker always seems to be the last to know. He must have the easiest sports journalist job going. just writes down what has happened , no investigation work.

 

God I hope so.

But these lot are so arrogant and misguided they probably don't think we need a DoF even though it's absolutely critical.

They'll keep telling us Ryan is attracting loads of interest and he's going into a mega job as we slide into non league

 

Wellens and as coach/manager with Jagger as Dof would do for me. That would give us a bit of structure on the football side of the club.
Leave Ryan Sparks where he is looking after the off the field stuff, stadium upkeep, commercial/sponsors etc. Also maintaining the link with Stefan Rupp while he owns the club and maybe trying to squeeze some cash out of him, which may be more difficult now given how things are developing in Europe.

Although he may now want to cut his losses and run!!

 

They cannot afford arrogance. If we get relegated, then we are finished as the City we all loved including Ryan! Rupp will be scrambling to get a thousands rather than millions. They just have to try everything possible to make sure we stay in lg2 and put together a credible plan to take us up the divisions. It is spend now or lose big time in the near future.

 

Mark Hughes was a late entrant at 4/1. However they've just pulled the betting at bet Victor, so expect an announcement soon I guess.

I agree with you to a certain extent but the problem these days is that whereas the T&A year's ago had two edition (lunchtime then evening edition) nowadays it is basically a morning paper, put together the night before, probably just after the final whistle of an evening kick-off game. And is now printed in Middlesbrough of all places.

 

More fodder for the dumb who want to chuck away money?

DoF is responsible for recruiting, why would we need a head of recruitment as well?
