He left to go to Peterborough as that is where he is from.

Even if I was to believe that that was the achievement you make it out to be, do you realise Evans plays a style of football that isn't generally tolerated by City fans, regardless of any past success? Or have you forgotten Derek Adams already?

I remember similar comments from posters when Adams was appointed and I said he'd be a disaster.

 

Times change, adapt or die which this club seems to want to find out the hard way. It’s time to stop looking at what had success years ago and look at what can have success going forward. Evans isn’t a long term solution at all, maybe he’ll improve us to the end of the season but beyond that it’ll be another ‘proven’ manager at this level which nobody else wants…

I’d rather look at how clubs are having success in the here and now like Forest Green tan what happened nearly 10 years ago.

Ryan Sparks and Rupp need to go. Our club has no vision, identity or focus. Ryan has now sacked three managers in 14 months. Which other CEO would survive such blunders. But more importantly, the shocking state of our club: no vision, connect with fans, signing players who are simply not good enough.

The shocking recruitment of the past 5 years: signing ‘has been” players is beyond the pale. Signing 4 strikers all over 30 (you couldn’t even make this up!). There are clubs in league 1/2 who have a cleat identity to only sign young players, but with 3-4 experienced professionals to help their development.

We at City are the opposite. We have more players over the age of 30 than most (if not all) other league 2 clubs.

time for a reset, fresh strategy and vision.

Didn't really watch today just caught bits as it was on in the background, but I have to say after seeing lineup and reading here I'm totally bemused by MTs team today, it was like DA had gone nowhere!! Those having a go at Parky were clueless. There were fans who genuinely thought was a bad manager here lol. The bloke was a genius.

McCann is the best choice. The fans can get behind him, unlike with Evans. His football won’t bore you death, unlike with Adams. And he might actually be able to provide some success if given the right tools, so unlike McCall, Collins, Hopkins, Bowyer, McCall again, Trueman & Sellars

Not my point I actually believe that once someone has done the time so to speak they should be free to move on.

My point really is that Evans is being held up as this immoral person who's not allowed to step foot near valley parade yet Woodgate, who arguably did something far more reprehensible is being touted as some kind of poster boy and it's hypocritical.

My view is that Sparks should do exactly what Morais said yesterday, go through a thorough unbiased process and get some help from someone who has actually been involved in the game from a playing and managerial point of view. He could do worse than approaching people like Morais or Gary Jones for help. Both seem to get what the club is about and I would suggest both have been about enough to be able to gather the kind of info about candidates Sparks needs.
