A polite message to @wetherbywhaler who was quick to come on here after a scrappy win over a team near the bottom and call people hysterical keyboard warriors, did it sound like the fans were behind the club and Adams today near the end?

I suggest taking more time to think what you say before typing in future as you have got form. Just remember we’re all entitled to our opinions and that one win will only paper over cracks for so long. You may like the likes of Rupp and Sparks but there are plenty who pay good money who won’t accept this crap. There was barely 10k there today.

 

Yet another, like Sparks, who revels in attention on here when the going is good and who's spine melts to jelly when it goes bad and there's the slightest hint of criticism.

 

I had a lot of time and respect for him as a poster before Tuesday night, but came on here to slag off paying fans who’ve simply had enough. Then played the victim saying he’s mocked because people mentioned he said it’d take us 5 years to get back to where we were once Rahic left, it’s called accountability, don’t put your head above the trenches if you can’t take it.

 

For those of you slagging off my earlier post today, congratulations on missing my point. I wasn't suggesting that our being crap for most of our history means we should accept that as the norm. Nor, as some have weirdly said, was I trying to make out I'm a better supporter than most just because I'm an old fart.

In my very first paragraph I said I was as disappointed as everyone else with our current performances/position and trust me, I felt our defeat to Exeter today, just as badly as I did our big defeats in the early days of my support. The point I was making was that because we've been in the Championship/PL a bit in our recent history, that doesn't mean it's our natural level, especially as our relatively big crowds are intrinsically linked to our cheap prices.

You can't wave a magic wand to get to the level you think we should be at, you have to work your socks off & get a set of things coming together at the right time, including right ownership, finances, management , playing staff, and not least luck to go on a winning run. We've been appalling at that in recent years and it's not going to just happen overnight.

Just saying get rid of Rupp, Sparks and Adams, and everything will be wonderful isn't either realistic or helpful. The only one we as fans can realistically help to get rid of is Adams, & what guarantee do we have that the next guy will be our holy grail?

He does have a point though Keefly, he came on here giving it the Billy Big bollocks last week after the win. I guess its those nasty fans fault we lost again today.

 

There's no guarantees in football, ever. But maintaining the status quo of failure simply because of fear of the unknown is just about the biggest guarantee of continuing failure I can think of.

He’s an associate director at the club therefore a representative, like Adams today. If I were the owner and I saw Rogers comments on Tuesday and heard Adams today I’d tell them both they’ll no longer be associated with Bradford City football club. Rule one in business is the customer comes first, if it were a local shop I’d have walked out and never spent a penny in there again if a staff member spoke to me like that.

This clubs in enough of a mess without them putting people off buying tickets, they should be praising the fans for turning up at all because quite frankly it’s nowhere near good enough.

An opinion indeed Park but Roger knows his opinion has more weight than many others on this board. At a time of frustrations, his comments always had the possibility of adding to the frustrations.

but Adams’ press conferences are a joke. He’s been taking the mickey for weeks and today was no exception given he said if we sack him we won’t get anyone better.

Well, he wouldn't really have known from where he was sitting, in the directors box, over the half way line away from the City fans. I was sitting in the way end with the other 330 and the main feeling was apathy, there wasn't much enthusiasm, there were few chants, hardly any songs, if they had scored first we'd have probably all continued to sit there quietly and continue to drop our heads when we started passing backwards or hoofed the ball long with 9 men behind it.

Just because we clapped at the end and about 5 or 10 folk did a chant after the final whistle didn't mean there was all happiness and joy!!
