    I like the idea but the guys a nob. Not endearing one bit. His footballs crap. If it was anyone else I’d say yes but can’t stand the bloke the more he speaks. He’s not a Bradford city manager in my view. Get rid

    That's a poor comparision @Silverbantam@Silverbantam, Parky started with a squad already assembled by Jacko and Archie Christie when he took over at the end of August where as Adams had input into who was brought in.

    1 point from the first 4 games didn't give Parky the ideal platform. Parky got us to the football league trophy semis that first season as well

    Does anyone remember when we were strongly linked with Ryan Lowe? He was scoffed at.

    Now doing well with Preston in the Championship. Our fans always know best.

    Sparks can eat alot of shit. He has made some terrible decisions but on paper Adams was a sound appointment with a decent track record.

    Its not worked out.

    He already had Wells and Hanson. Then brought in 17 players throughout his first season.

    The point is Parkinson was poor that first year, folk were calling for his head. Club stuck by him though. A lesson learned maybe.

    The point I was making was Phil Parkinsons remit for that season was to keep the club up with very few players of any quality, were as Adams was to get us promoted after having dealing with transfers that closed season.

    But Parky had not alienated the fans in the same way Adams has. The balancing act here is the Compo we have to pay him when we sack him VRS the loss of season ticket and sponsorship income if we do not.

    I suspect the second figure will be significantly higher and would have a longer term damaging affect on the club.

    Make the change now in my opinion before things get even worse.

    Phil Parkinson v Derek Adams​

    There has been a lot of talk, on various threads, about how good or bad Derek Adam's record is compared to Phil Parkinson's first season at City, so I thought I'd have a look at their records.

    A direct comparison is hard to do as Phil Parkinson took over a team that had already played 5 matches and with a squad he had no involvement in putting together, whereas Derek Adams had had the luxury of being 'involved' in putting together City's 21/22 squad.

    For comparison purposes I decided to look at their comparitive records from match 6. The result (to date) is very interesting in that from matches 6 to 29 both managers collected 27 points.

    So, over equivalent periods both managers had equal returns points wise. Do their comparative records support Derek Adams being given more time? Or should we remember that the situations that each manager took over in were very different and remember that Phil Parkinson inherited a squad that had relegation written all over it, whereas Derek Adams was asked to build a squad capable of leaving the division at the other end, afterall 27 points accumulated, when your target is to avoid relegation, is much more valuable than 27 points accumulated when you are supposed to be pushing on for promotion?

    Anyone watching Forest that’s what happens when you get a manager the fans connect with and that plays decent football (I have been a couple of times this season as have a mate that’s a forest fan). Their fans hated Hughton and his style of football they had no atmosphere in the ground, changed manager for someone the fans connected with that wanted to play decent football and the atmosphere etc completely changed. We need this at a lower level. #Adamsout

    They have been an absolute pleasure to watch. A massive contrast to the Forest team under Hughton, who struggled to beat us of course in August.

    Yes they were a club with an atmosphere similar to us at the point we played them and were poor under Hughton playing awful defensive football (sounds familiar). I went just before xmas and the stadium was bouncing great atmosphere. #Adamsout #letsplaysomefootball
