How is sticking a successful former captain on the board a remedy for our current problems? To me it smacks of desperation and a lack of ideas. I agree we need footballing expertise at the top level but I would prefer people with track records in those or similar roles as opposed to putting Jones on the board because he used to play for us

Whether it's as a director or a club ambassador, we're not going to find football expertise at the top level without cultivating it ourselves. We're not going to pay big money to poach a CEO from another EFL club; director's generally don't jump from one club to another unless there's a significant reason to. We don't offer one.

I'm not sure where the reluctance to blood former Bradford City legends as key, integral figures at the club is coming from considering the 'experience levels' in other critical positions?
