Well, I remember it being said when a few of us were putting his name forward back then but maybe I'm mistaken. It's a strange thing for you to be disputing though when on this very thread, you yourself have said there is no evidence that he's good enough for league 2 yet.

 

I was disputing that he would definitely have done well and been worth a certain price right now.

You've then morphed it into a claim we shouldn't have signed him, which I'm almost certain nobody ever said.

 

Harrogate have taken two lads from Huddersfield on loan,and both played in their win over Carlisle on Weds.

 

Completely agree and we've also had players from Leeds and Huddersfield on loan in recent seasons so I didn't understand the point anyway.

 

We're not getting players in from West Yorks, because we have a fancy new scouting network which covers the full United States of the UK. Which is why we've got a fella who spoke to a former Morecambe player to get information about our club before he signed, and its why we're looking at Scottish players who Adams already knows.

Eh? I wanted us to sign him two years ago so I'm not sure where you've got the idea from that I'm trying to claim we shouldn't have signed him. From memory, I recall some posters at that time suggesting it would be too much of a risk to sign him because he wasn't proven at this level - maybe I'm wrong that it was on this forum where it happened if you are so sure it didn't happen, and maybe it was a discussion on twitter instead that I am confusing it with, but I definitely remember reading those comments somewhere. Why would I just make it up?

When will people stop going on about the players we use to have and let’s bring them back in different capacities blah blah blah . This club needs to move on with new ideas when and if it comes to management and ownership changes. Harping on about Lawrence , Jones and Parkinson is not the way forward imo. Yes they gave us some great memories but seriously Parkinson is at Wrexham and we all know why that is ££££ and the other 2 may well be staunch City fans but that doesn’t make them the right people as surely they would be involved in a club already after so many years out of the game Let’s not forget the past but move on for goodness sake !
