Food & Drink at VP

A kid in front of me had a burger at halftime, If they are £3 then while not looking very appealing I suppose it would keep you going on a Tuesday night if you went straight to the match after work.

 

Same in the main stand as well, one of the end kiosks shut causing huge queues in the remaining two.
Tiffin cannot cope with a decent crowd, need to get back to 10,000 paying fans

 

Only carling larger & coors light in main stand what about some decent beer real ales

 

In the suites at 2pm no queue at bar but still took my Nate 10 mins to get a pint of Carling due to lack of till trained staff. 20 mins later there was a queue of about 15 and best part of half an hour wait, again lack of training

 

There was a problem with the water supply not very good for a first impression

 

Covid times. They may have had people unable to come in at the last minute. Happening everywhere at the moment.

 

Impounded by the fact it's seemingly impossible to recruit into catering positions at the minute...

 

Did anyone else see people taking their pints to their seats? Saw multiple do it in the lower cup, one was even shown to his seat by a steward!!

 

Yes there was a bloke sat behind me in lower kop, walked straight passed a steward without being challenged

 

Yep, Came into the Bantams Bar area seats with Pints from the lower level and got a shrift from the locals.
In truth the club need to nip that in the bud quickly, they can be in serious sh!t with the league for booze at the seats, a big big no no

 

Glad it wasn’t just me hallucinating then couldn’t believe my eyes, as someone born in the 90’s I’ve never seen that at a professional game on this country.

 

Wrong though ain't it? Is there another sport in the UK where you cannot drink within the viewing arena.

 

Sports stadia generally don't sell craft beer or ales. The profit margin just isn't there. If that's your tipple of choice you're better off staying on North Parade.

 

I've been to football games all around Europe, and in English non-league, all of which you can drink beer openly from the stands. Must just be a UK thing stemming back from the hooligan era.

 

The biggest let down today was the food & drink kiosks. They had been built up to high heaven and I'm not sure about you guys but I had massive expectations today. Before the game I queued 10/15 minutes for a pint, fine, could just about live with that, but at half time it was nearer 20/25 minutes which to be honest is a p*ss take.

It needs sorting out ASAP.

Yes, I sit in the Lower Main Stand Block D and several people walked unchallenged past the stewards carrying beer.
These stewards are possibly untrained.
So I do wonder if someone near me collapsed, what would they do ?

I don't want to be a killjoy but methinks I'll contact Mr Sparks

 

Apparently 15 staff members have had to self isolate in the last 24 hours, leaving the catering arm severely understaffed.

 

Yes loads in North West corner.
Also no bottles of water on sale!!!!
Very very poor.
