There's not many clubs in the bottom 2 divisions that can take 25,000 - 30,000 fans to Wembley either.

it is good to see how this is the first sentence in the article you mentioned though.

So on that basis, plus what he states about players leaving I think it's more to do with the wages of league two rather than trying to just stay afloat. lots of big earners gone but no need to get someone in on those wages. so bringing back to what the other two posters @Boz @Mike Hunt were saying, a lower/similar budget to morecambe is not what i expect but is sustainable and there is a clear and obvious push towards promotion and beyond.

I just can't get my head around Morecambe allowing Adams to have a say in our retained list/recruitment whilst preparing for the biggest few games in their history. Just doesn't make sense.

 

I was just watching sparks interview and when he confirmed new manager did the retained list I was thinking exactly the same!!!!! Surely where breaking some rules there. Or are we thinking it’s him and there’s someone else we have not thought of???

 

Unless we paid Morecambe good money for him and agreed to wait until after the okay offs?

Even if its not him it must be someone whose season isn't finished. Can't think of a reason why we wouldn't announce it now otherwise.

 

Parky would be the manager who would sell more season tickets as an appointment but he's just not the going back kind of guy is he.

 

Maybe there has been an agreement with both Adams and Morecambe possibly after an approach before the end of the season.

 

It's a all a mystery. Typically this time period is when all go on holiday and there is no news of any note until at least second week in June.

This may well be the case still. My head tells me the retained list is Turnbull's remit and doing, he has now gone on leave too, and any potential manager decision is far from done, with Sparks playing a game of hope, bluff and chance with the manager market, us fans and the media.

My foolish heart tells me all is well, in City we trust, and a manager like Adam's or similar pedigree has already signed.
