Well today gets more bizarre with each announcement

Why for Gods sake why?? No other club will poach him. See how the season pans out then decide: Probably cost us a years compo when it all goes wrong as it inevitably will

 

I've got to break cover and come out from a long period of lurking on this one. I get the need for stability, I get we have the chance for a full squad cull in June, and I really get the fact that for some SM could be Peter Sutcliffe in disguise and would still be loved.

BUT sat where we are in the league, this is madness of the highest order. Its up there with appointing Collins. Stuart is currently failing, that might not be the case in May, in fact I hope it isn't. Anyone with an ounce of sanity would at least wait until we had pulled clear of where we are now.

That might be a month, it might be three, it might be May. But for gods sake wait

He's got January & Summer transfer windows to build not only a team but a squad. Let's see what happens

If, if, a DoF and maybe other structural changes are announced soon I think we, as fans, have to suck it up this season, pray we don't get relegated and look to the future. The club have clearly set out their stall. Unless Rupp is selling any time soon this is what we've got for the next 18 months. It's going to be a bumpy ride!

Is there any other club who would extend the manager's contract when they're sitting 20th in the league? Let alone 20th in the bottom league!

I would be absolutely laughing my tits off if this was any other club. I'm just baffled when it's the one I support.

 

I love McCall to bits, but a 1 year contract extension when we are on the verge of relegation to the football league is baffling, especially on the back of a Michael Collins type appointment for a new CEO.

 

Clueless club. Obviously Sparks has no idea either. The club is rotten to the core. No ambition anymore. 50 years I've followed my beloved City and when you think it can't get any worse it does. Players don't care just picking up wages and going home. We've been crap most of the time and every now and then a little bit of good comes around. Will always follow City whatever division we are in but please show some pride. Come on Stuart time to get tough and sort it out.

 

I think he will get tough regarding players when he in a position to. At the moment he is having to try and get the best from some individuals not up to the job because of injuries and it being a small squad (his choice I know with a number of individuals included in it who are not up to it - bizarre - money constraints?).

 

Won't use free agent's either. Supposed to be some money in pot as well

 

We paid vaughan off. Money was there if needed to get rid of players if we needed to shift them on in the summer but I think McCall thinks what he has got is good enough and needs one or two more
