    Quality and depth at the moment. We are not going to trouble the top half as we stand especially if we get injuries in midfield.

    I went to most games last season including the last game at Salford before lockdown, 9th position was generous for such a poor side. You can never say with 100% accuracy how the season would finish but my own opinion is that we would have finished lower half of the table. So many things fundamentally wrong with the squad and those problems remain.

    You have to remember though, that the majority of league 2 clubs will be in the same boat, or even worse, regarding depth. I would imagine most clubs squads will be topped up with kids

    I think what was missing most Tone was any semblence of a plan at all. Awful recruitment of players and manager, a non existent transfer strategy and that ain't gonna change when the car crash reaches the pitch. Like sending out a ship with no skipper or GPS then wonder why it runs aground.

    We did have some good results against Exeter and Swindon - I remember even the best teams not looking particularly good.

    One of those fundamental problems was centre back. I've heard people say McCall will play 3 at the back with wing backs, god help us if he plays BRE AOC and POC together.

    I agree we are due some on that front if there is surplus money available at any point with the salary cap in mind investment in injury prevention should be high on the agenda

    Sounds like Cheltenham are currently using him as a wing back in their friendlies so I suspect that's where we'd plan on playing him, if successful.
