Of the clubs you mention i'd could on go with Bournemouth, maybe Hull and Brentford. The others have endured poor times but i wouldn't say they remind me of an historical lower league club. The one thing that all the clubs you mention is have in common is that they have all become successful on the back of varying degrees of large investment. Bournemouth would never have got to where they have without the financial backing of their billionaire owner. Even our only real spell of success in our history came off the back of significant financial backing, albeit paid for with magic beans from bank of BFG.
Your point in the last sentence is spot on, history counts for little in the modern game. The likes of Bournemouth, Fleetwood, Burton etc have shown what can be done with sizeable financial backing. I think the likes of Salford City will be next and with the right backing could easily be in league 1 within 2 seasons.
Without that big backer/s you may as well be pissing in the wind.

 

Hanson and Grodowski are the only kid you mentioned and they didn't play 5 league games between them. The rest are full grown adults in their early 20s.

His pedigree as a supposed championship footballer. Just like Aaron Maclean. I watched both of them from the off and it was clear neither of them looked top league 1 level never mind championship level. And guess what? Yep, their careers kept on going backwards.

I think Bruncker will come good. Signs that he was improving a lot. Too early to write him off.

Chicksen is good in my view but his stop/start season hasn’t helped. Played at Blackpool of course where he was absolutely shocking.

What are you bleating on about?.
We pay average and in some players above average league 1wages(plus bonus related payments,again too much is made of this cos most clubs do similar).
We are never going to pay lower end champ wages like wigan blackburn bolton did or like sunderland ,etc
Were using a sustainable business plan.(our players dont drive round in 15 year old cars on minimum wage,there well paid FACT).
Yes they could and can get better else where ,thats the nature of the football beast.
We want success course we do but lets get behind the team and club and do it all as one.
We have a core of some serious young talent ie robinson;gibson,patrick,macartan,melumbi,staunton,hawkes,ken worthy,reeves, to name a few.
How far and good these are is the exciting part cos we dont know yet.
Then weve got macgowan,kilgannon,riley,chicksen etc players who can lead from the front .we are searching for a coach to help and improve all the above thats why we are taking time.its a crucial descision.theres no need to dwell on the past(we had bad eggs in that basket last year,two remain but hope to god they get outsted then its a clean slate and fresh start/season).
We are no way near as bad as certain people constantly make out.keep smiling the futures claret and amber.

He played really well at Bristol Rovers for an hour and then succumbed to injury and we then lost a game we could have won. Get him fit and he will be a real asset.

 

By law you are. Obviously a very very long time since you were 20.

You certainly aint a kid in 'football terms' anyway. And definitely not when you are 23 like Bruenker and McCartan
