This squad needs to adapt McCall’s attitude of 100% and the city faithful will applaud them every minute of the game, win or lose. Remember Wembley playing Swansea with 20 minutes left? We were so proud.
If we play with that attitude we will win lots more than we lose.

I can see Devine starting tomorrow for some reason.

Why? We have better players than him.

Cooke, Reeves, Devitt, Akpan.

He might get in at RB but I wouldn't risk it now considering he's played most of his time in midfield.

He might make the bench.

The key for McCall is can he get the likes of Reeves, Devitt and Akpan firing again.

We've far too many players for this level.

 

That was another point made at the press conference Stuart says the squad is too big.

 

It's someone who he knows and can trust. Can he trust an unreliable Henley and Akpan?

Of course Stuart will go for it, and so will the players when Stuart and Kenny have got them playing, but it might take time. Now that is time we really don’t have, if anybody can do it Stuart and Kenny can. The problem is your right other teams are planning, we are still in recovery mode ie trying to get back there with one leap. The problem I have is this, I have no idea how good any of our players are!! If Stuart can’t lift them, they will be gone in the summer. We won’t know any of this for a few games.

 

It has to be all about getting the players fit enough to perform at the peak of their ability and blending as a team into the pattern of play Stuart requires. It will be very interesting for sure.

 

If, whoever is picked can't play tomorrow and Tuesday night in that atmosphere then we've really got problems bigger than we thought. The noise should be amazing and the whole crowd will be behind the team 100%. The difference between the last home game and these next 2 will be huge.

 

I totally agree! This will sort the wheat from the chaff.

 

With Hendrie, Clarke and Hanson in the Grimsby side it adds a bit of extra spice to the game.

Reckon this could be a goalfest now the shackles are off. 3-2 City.

Indeed. If any of the players don't relish playing in the sort of atmosphere there is going to be tomorrow and don't want to experience that week in week out, they probably need to sit down with themselves and have a good long think about whether football is the right profession for them.

 

At the moment we need results more. I'd be happy with a win and glimmers of some football starting to be played

 

Agreed, it's lovely seeing nice football, but if it ends in a loss, then what's the point. Driving for show, putting for dough and all that.
I'd take a scrappy 1 nil win over a lovely 1 nil loss any day of the week. (footnote: Bowyer played awful football AND lost).

 

Never wanted us to win so much tomorrow for many reasons

1) people like @Park bantam will be like Bowyer had a good home record etc
2) The fans - we need this after the Boryer bore. I can't believe experience and knowledgeable fans wanted to stick by one of the most boring managers in our history.

4) Rhodes- yes I hammer him at times but getting rid of Bowyer was the right call
5) To get one ove Hanson, Clarke, Hendrie.

6) Massive statement to the league! We back! 14-16k fans together! Be scared, be very scared- the Bradford boys(&girls) are back making all the noise! We're gunning for promotion this season!

Now, get down to VP tomorrow and help the lads win! Let's done this! We can still go up for sure now, it wouldn't of happened under Bowyer!
