McCall won't have us defending on the edge of our penalty area. I expect them up in midfield and pressing on the half way line. If the opposition get past them, the centre backs can rugby tackle 10 yards in our half and give away free kicks where it doesn't matter. 3-4-3. Attack!

Behave Well we shall see what Kenny and Stu think of him. He has been awful I know, but he looks like rest of them a yard short. No idea whether that is lack of fitness or pressure to produce good football.

 

Agreed he has hardly been brilliant, but, when he came on against Cheltenham last week for mellor, he blocked more crosses into the box in the first 5 minutes of been on than mellor has all season.
When a team attacks down Mellors side it is almost a certainty that they will get a cross in. Would happily never see him play for city again.

 

Anybody else watch the interview with stuart? One line which was a breath of fresh air to hear.

How long have we been waiting for Bowyer to say the same, instead of bigging up the opposition all the time.

 

No mate, they're not attacking players they're full backs being asked to attack. Bowyer made that mistake. Lets have a flat back four where the fullbacks sit but push forward when the opportunity arises and let the two centre backs forge a partnership. I've seen enough watching three centre backs and none of them knowing when to stick or twist.

The only player I want to see on the team sheet is Akpan. I want Stuart to bring out the best in him like he has done with players in the past. Smash the crap out of the opposition.

I get that you want to see the best from Akpan but to expect him to do it all on his own is a tad unfair.
