We need someone in the PP mould who can help shape the team but also help shape the club in general , we have no identity, no plan, no philosophy and no direction we need someone with a plan.

I have noticed he can crouch forwards and clap vociferously whilst shouting encouragement.

    Isn't that enough?

People on here including myself have been saying for months we need a hard man in midfield, a minder, an enforcer, someone who can tackle and break attacks up. I assumed GB would try to sign this type of player in the window. He didn’t and therefore opposition players will continue to run at our back four and score the type of goals we’ve been conceding for fun. You can’t blame the back four for that. For that lack of insight alone I personally think he has to go. The next guy in will have to use the unattached market to plug the gaps.

Can't disagree with that. The inability to get a midfield general type of player is damn right criminal. Probably negligent

It is, indeed. Normally I'd err on the side of giving someone more time, but it really is difficult to see how Bowyer can turn things around. We seemed to have players putting in shifts, and we had an excellent defence; that made up somewhat for the poor offence. But now our strengths are slipping away, seemingly without a fight.

Good to see the WOAP assessment coming out so strong for change. No doubt Parker will too. The fans reaction, social media, poor attendance against Cheltenham. It’s stacking up. Surely however reluctant Rhodes is, he has to recommend he is replaced ASAP.

All facilitated by an inability to retain a constant. Whether that is tactics or personal, Bowyer is the architect in weakening our strengths

I don’t want to dig out Taylor whose been a good pro and had a long career. But he was not the midfielder we needed. And did we need to bring in two big guys up front! Or two more wingers. We now have five when Ismail and Gibson are fit. Pritchard can also play there. Surely one of this lot could have been sacrificed for the tough tackler we’re crying out for. I would love to be in a position to put that question to the boss.

I think we need a caretaker manager, someone who knows the club and is passionate about it. Someone who is currently available. Someone with fire in his belly. Someone with red hair. Now who do we know? Is there anybody who fits the bill and would take charge initially to the end of the season. My God if we could get such a person VP would be rocking again and win, lose or draw we’d play decent football.

I see it took you know who all of 20 minutes to get back to scoring. All the people I know who support other clubs keep asking me what’s going on. I think the wider football world are aware of the Doyle situation and are genuinely intrigued. It’s a truly amazing story.

Be a story told many a time amongst City fans for many a year. Probably a story we will tell the next generation.... We will probably laugh at it in time (I hope)....

I wouldn't want him coming as caretaker manager until the end of the season but as an interim for a couple of weeks or however long it takes to recruit a long term replacement then if he would be willing to do it, yes definitely. In an ideal world, he'd be involved in the recruiting process as well and would hopefully stick around in an advisory role for a few weeks after the new manager is in post to make sure he truly understands what it means to manage this football club.
