Look, my thoughts on what Rahic has and hasn't done are very well documented on this forum, and the previous, and the Cows Arse. I was pulled up yesterday about being like a broken record, I don't see what re-opening this debate here will achieve.

Rupp is back to attend tonight and tomorrow's POTY awards. I am not bothering tonight, but I'm going tomorrow. hopefully while he is here they will settle Grayson's future so the club can try and prepare for next season since I think we're all agreed there's a LOT of work to do.

As far as i know hes wanting a budget in excess of 3million.
(That wouldnt even guarentee a playoff spot).what if we somehow gave him this and we didnt improve on the playing side,we would then be looking down the barrel regarding ex amounts of debt, cut backs etc etc.we have to this sensibly.edins first season him and rupp kept the same budget(there words they gambled)we nearly did it by playoffs(again i think budget was around 2.75mark).second season they cut it back to a level which we as a club/business could manage.(the budget wasnt the problem this year it was the recruitment and how we spent it).

Grayson wont get what he wants.
They wouldnt even tell McCall what his budget was!!!! Scunthorpe will show him a 4-5 million budget and he will get them promoted.
Been said before in football the most important relationship at a football club is between owners and the manager.
Parkinson and Lawn clashed many times but always worked together and kept it in house.
Its like a circus at the minute

If it's true that Grayson wants a 4m budget yet has only been offered the rumoured 2m-2.5m, you can't really blame him for walking away, especially if he is going to get much closer to that 4m at somewhere like scunthorpe.

For me, this isn't 'unreasonable', as it is the going rate for a promotion chasing side in this division. What is unreasonable and very deluded is expecting promotion with anything near a 2m budget

My point being - That in Lge 1 your quoted £3m is NOT excessive, and for me is a bare minimum for any Club with aspirations of the Championship. Secondly ........ NO Manager could deliver LESS than we've all endured since the New Year.

After that comment I believe we can all sleep OK tonight, £3m compared with that McCall worked with peanuts, and got us to Wembley.

Where is this money coming from?
Edin has no funds(hes a very shrewd businessman)thats what hes apparently bringing to table.rupp has a few quid but will he take a punt??or will he do it more selectively over time?.
What im saying is we dont have this huge fan base of 20k attendancies at full price.our fan base is flawed.weve sold just shy of 13k this year(good effort and a true reflection of our real fan base).we dont have big lucrative sponsors.we are a div 3 team trying to juggle our pennies around accordingly.i dont see a problem with this.like i said its how you spend the budget not how much you spend.

McCall spoke of his budget as did Edin

McCall said it was mid table, Edin said it was near top six. Who do you believe?

One thing even the most deluded will surely agree on (tough ask for park bantam) Grayson wont be here with the budget McCall had.

It's all lining up for Rosler nicely.
I'm suprised they are doing a POTY awards. A bit embarrassing really. Especially when the manager attending is only a temp one, and especially when he's basically said they are all an embarrassment and many of them should be shipped out in the summer.
    Cringeworthy in fact.

    Ridiculous.

This somehow might be true, but where did you hear this from your local postie who found out from either Simon, Edin or Stefan? Get a grip you never heard this.

That I can't answer. I don't know the exact original source. was just repeating what I've been told. maybe it's completely invented, maybe it isn't. dunno.

Objectively, and without emotion, here is what Edin/Rupp has/have done, whoever you feel is responsible:

    1) Lost Phil Parkinson.
    2) Let the last of the History Makers go for financial reasons.
    3) Spent a lot of money on replacements in terms of transfer fees.
    4) Installed a director of football or whatever Abbott's title was.
    5) Diminished the say of the manager in transfer activity, favouring a team.

    And the results?

    1) Halted year-on-year progression in terms of league position (season one)
    2) Taken us backwards in terms of league position (season two).

Whether you think the top 5 are good/bad/indifferent, the results at the bottom are what really count.

Then, yeah, you have plenty of rumours, and even concrete statements from our players about how morale fell through the floor this season. Again, wherever you want to place the blame for that, the people that are ultimately in charge and therefore responsible are Rahic and Rupp.

How anyone can now sit back and say "but they haven't really done anything" is beyond me.
