Excellent post, but I wouldn’t acknowledge those that wish to detract from debate about our current circumstances. ‘Happy Haters’ is just another attempt to change the conversation.

 

Social media is very black and white, moderate views get lost amongst all the sensationalism so while I see where you're coming from OP, I think you should maybe be looking for those moderate views and see that even the more patient among us are starting to get a bit fed up.

It's one thing new owners wanting to do things a bit differently. I can accept change and take with it the inevitable unrest and upheaval. But it's another to see shocking performances like the one served up on Saturday. You can accept that such a new team needs time, no one expected world-beaters overnight, I certainly didn't. But what I do expect is a well-organised team with a definite style of football and some kind of plan, they are professionals after all. It seems at the minute that the man in charge is not capable of providing that so why shouldn't people be asking for change?

Personally, I don't happen to doubt for a minute that Edin has the best intentions for the club. I am, however, starting to doubt that he knows how to bring those about. I get the feeling that in his rush to set-up his vision, he's not paying the sort of attention he should to people who really do know the game (not to intentionally paraphrase his infamous slip of the tongue). A change of mentality at the top might be all that's needed to put this right, but will it come?

 

I think we thought that change of mentality had come with (what looked like on paper) some quality player recruitment..
then along came the 3 stooges appointment which has set us back 9 months......

Not here. I don’t think refusing to accept the club getting killed from the inside is an over reaction at all.

 

I was right with you up to 4.55 on Saturday.

I too attended those games you allude to BUT I cannot recall our manager/coach just standing still with his hands behind his back for the whole game and at times head bowed lloking at his tracksuit bottoms. Drury popped up a couple of times. Can't recall seeing Abbo.

THAT'S what has pissed me off the most. NO apparent passion or enthusiasm and certainly no leadership. Just left the team to sort itself out? That lack of leadership is clearly showing in the standard of performance so far.

The players should take a long hard look at themselves after Saturday and wonder why they got paid.

I don't live and breath football but since 1979 its been my club, home and lots of away days, and I will have more than just an affection for it until the day I die. BUT the tripe on show and lack of clear patterns of play have left me very worried as to where we are heading.

If all else fails and the evidence against your case is increasingly overwhelming, whip out the race card and hide behind that. What a fecking loser.

 

The real difference though Keefly is that Lawn brought in professionals who had the ability and experience to perform their specialist roles.

Lawn may be many things but he is not a micromanager or stupid enough to think he knows football.

Hysterical overreaction?

I think our fans have been remarkably patient when you consider the catalogue of events in that have occurred in the 8 months since the Yeovil game. I'm not going to list them but you all know what I'm on about. Even the skeptics have been willing to give things a chance. Stuff seems to unravelling a bit now and fingers are started to be pointed. I think it's a bit rich for someone to point their finger this way and shout hysterical overreaction.

If you think things are basically okay and the fans are overreacting don't worry, a couple of wins and things will soon settle down again. Personally I think we're in for turbulent times so buckle up.

 

Oh irony irony. It is you who lacks perspective. You view things through your rose tinted glasses and tunnel vision. Perspective is about being aware and understanding your surroundings and the events that are happening and interpreting them based on previous experience. Based on this, I would suggest that those that are angry at the current state if affairs have perspective and it is you (uber happy clapper) that assumes all will be well so long as you keep having sprats thrown at you by the owners.

 

TBF, he appointed his managers to manage, just as he did with his other businesses. He didn’t appoint a manager and then attempt to do most of the job himself.

Why employ specialists if you believe you are better than they? Rahic is not Lawn...!
