Someone already pointed out how many remaining games we have at home.
In my opinion the playing surface tomorrow night won't be anywhere near the requirement needed to produce a decent game of football.
I know exactly where your coming from and if that's the case I'd rather wait till weather conditions improve and the pitch gets time to recover it's layer of grass after the severe weather we've had.

Yep, 12 games before the end of April, plus the possibility of an additional fixture should we get through to the next round of the trophy. So that would be 13 games in 14 weeks....I don't envy those groundsmen one iota

I remember the winter of 78/79 with constant snow and a few games were rearranged and then postponed especially against Wigan. In April we played on the Saturday against Crewe at home then Doncaster at home on Monday night followed by a home game with Hartlepool on the Wednesday a game at Darlington on the Saturday and the often rearranged game against Wigan on the Monday. Five games in eight days I wonder how Juergen Klopp would cope with that.

I thought that was postponed just the once due to the fact we couldn't raise a team due to illness?

 

1963 third round FA cup tie scheduled to be played early January wasn’t played till the 7th march. Then we lost 6-1

 

Well we’ve just had hail stones the size of marbles here, so not looking good for tomorrow night

 

Was due to be played 12th Feb but was postponed and provisionally re-arraned for Thursday 17th, but we got it put back to Monday 21st.

I do vividly remember the special train journey to the match on the Monday, and of course the match though. One of my favourite away days of all time.
