I meant pace Kev. We ain’t got any. Most centerhalfs can do the basics and head a ball or challenge a striker like cooky. But pace they hate it.

I believe in that game we we're in front a couple of times, one goal because Dudley Price ? was standing on Bert Gebbies foot and stopped him from jumping for the ball, long before Leeds started using that tactic with big Jack Charlton.

Cook would double his output if we had players who could cross the ball and/or pick out a decent final pass.
Halliday / Ridehalgh / Smallwood all absolute gash and contribute zero to goal threat chances.
Get rid of all 3 or at least move Halliday to full back and play a traditional winger.

 

He had a good game yesterday. Laid the ball off well and held it up when needed. Took his goal well. We’d miss him if he left.

Anyone doubting cooks ability and contribution to the team are deluded. We’d be in an even worse position than we are now if it wasn’t for his goals last season and this season
