Andy Cook (with Poll)

I would be surprised if Andy left and got a better deal than he's on at Valley Parade, but never say never with regards football or for that matter Bradford City.

 

He won't leave, but we might get someone in to push him harder and offer something else.

 

Cook won't leave here till his contract is up in my opinion Dave.

 

I don’t see him leaving either he has just signed a long lucrative contract.

With a 3 year deal under his belt it would IMO take a much better deal to get him away, I know we've joked about the lads all coming down in a car, most days a steady commute to training so al in all if it was me I'd be happy to see my contract out, the big plus Cook knows he can score goals for Bradford City which his game is all about.

 

He obviously hasn't watch a lot of football in his life, I think if you look back @bantam316 criticised Cook on a regular basis last season even though he finished up being our leading goals scorer again with 31 goals in total he embaresses himself with silly comments.
The late great Jimmy Greaves said if he scores one in three chances he's happy, I find it hard for anyone to knock Greaves goal scoring record at any club he played at, even in Italy in that period when their football was all based around defence not conceding he scored 9 goals from 10 appurtenances.

Been told of a rumour tonight that Cook could be on his way back to Mansfield. Also league one interest in Halliday. Probably nonsense but been right before

 

Halliday one of very few of our squad with any credit, play him in his true position as RB and you got possibly the best RB in the division but nope we play out of position.

 

That was posted last night on twitter and then quickly deleted. I can't see Cook going back to Mansfield. He couldn't get out of there quick enough when we came calling.

 

Mansfield fans seem to think they're on the verge of signing Tom Nichols (striker) from Gillingham. Cook was thinking of packing it in all together when at Mansfield so would be extremely unlikely for him to go back. Their fans didn't particularly rate him either.

 

Hope so, we need a fresh start and neither are good enough

 

If they're not good enough then we should have a completely new first XI next season.
