He should a squad player there, surely.

The lads they just signed, Whittaker and Mumba, are only players they had last year. He's fallen somewhat if they want him out on loan.

I dont disagree with that. I feel dirty but then again if it benefits the team then we have to look past it.....the only thing I will say is he was never our player. If he was under contract here and pushed the move through then thats a different story.

I think he would have signed and stayed in all honesty, he just got a better opportunity.

 

Not bothered what he has done or where he has been as long as he is available get him signed.

 

I dont think they are set in stone but it looks like the preferred option. Of course he is going to want options to adapt to situations but bringing in wingers who may not be even needed, eating away at valuable resource is stupid. There is enough in that squad as it stands to give us those options for the last 20 minutes or the odd game.

Look at the teams that have gone up the last few seasons.

 

If available and prepared to put 100% (which I’ve no reason to think he wouldn’t) in for the shirt I’m not arsed about politics, he’s definitely good enough to improve us.

Freddy Jeffreys, Noah Wadsworth and Sam Bentley have signed initial one-year professional contracts - while Gabriel Wadsworth has been offered a professional deal to begin from 2024/25.

Is Jeffreys highly rated? Im sure someone said Brighton and Fulham had been to watch him.

And who knows if Tyreik is allowed to return and has a good season maybe if Plymouth can finish safe in the top half of the Championship he may be made available for a small fee.

 

Totally disagree with this especially the last sentence of the main paragraph. We don’t have one right winger in the squad and on the left Chapman is both injured and likely suspended.

 

Stevenage had a bigger budget than they let on. Evans said as much in a Y/T vid. I think he said top three. It was to his benefit to keep “ low key spend” in case of failure, just as Harris has done just this week in suggesting Gills arnt in the top 6 budget stakes. Whilst his nose grows another foot!

 

All the people moaning about him dropping us and all that, he was on loan here and he took the opportunity playing superbly for us that he got a chance to play at a higher level that’s what footballs about . Wright improves the squad no matter what, if it’s him or banks then give me wright all day long he was a massive loss for us

 

Wingers are interchangeable. Oduor, Pointon on the left. Chapman is capable of playing on the right. He has played there more than enough times throughout his career. Osadebe another who actually started the Donny game there. You could even stretch to Gilliead if needs must and down to bare bones.

Like I said, enough options there unless you want a squad full of Nevers, Dions and Costelleos who hardly get used.

Wright would solve a wide man connundrum anyway.

 

Do we know if he's up for a return to league 2 and ourselves though.

I would definitely welcome him back, however, I think I'm in the minority on here in wanting Banks back more, if we had the chance and choice of one of them

 

If we play with wingers in a 3 man attack Smith will be one of them

But has he been playing wing back?.He was not even making the match day squad at Plymouth towards the end of the season.

 

I suppose it's what you want from them, Wright has genuine pace, something you can't teach but Banks is the more skillful player. Both would be welcome but I'd prefer Banks if it came to a choice.
