Summer 2023 Transfer Rumours

Im hopeful Tyler Smith can hit double figures.

Pattison and Walker are capable of double figures.

 

I am finding Ryan Sparks’ comments in the T&A today a bit of a stretch. Apparently the signings so far have been worked on since last summer and January. I get the McDonald one but the rest seem a bit surprising.

 

Not really. “ Worked on” could just mean scouted , watched, talked to agents . It’s not a surprise really . Remember they are always saying “we are working on the next window already!”

I just buy two season tickets a seat apart nobody ever buys the one ticket on its own and it’s great to put my flask on

 

Should imagine Smith and odour were two we have been watching for some time and possibly Taylor

 

We have definitely added more potential goals this season with Pattison a regular scorer from midfield and Smith who has shown he knows where the net is. And hopefully Walker will be available from the start Pattison is also a goal provider so that should help as well

 

Mid table at best? We haven't suddenly regressed to being a bottom half team.

I've no idea where we will ultimately finish but it'll be similar to last year. There isn't circa 12 better squads than ours. Lots of hype this year around other teams, not seeing lots to actually back it up.

 

I think we have strengthened from last year. We do however need a quality LB and a Solid RW if we plan to finish in the autos

 

On what basis???

Critchlow and Banks are both a loss. Pattison, McDonald and Smith are definate gains. Other 3 signings could go either way.

id say the squad has improved already. And we wernt a million miles off.

 

I had a look at the other teams.

Notts County, Gillingham and Doncaster look to be doing decent business. Rest havent done alot tbh.

 

We've still got the premier and championship clubs to let their players out on loan so hopefully we'll pick up another Scott Banks or Crichlow. Our permanent signings are definitely stronger than last season.

 

Yes loans can make or break a season let’s hope they have done their homework well because it’s an area where the money teams have no real advantage

 

I think Pattison and McDonald will be the difference this season. Lots depending on them.

 

I thought Orient bought well on paper but other 2 I agree with.

 

Wasn’t it a case of “ Stockport and Salford will walk it” for many last season. I don’t think I am blameless…I had us down as Champions……..lol!

 

I'm not convinced by Donny. Ironside is a good signing but beyond that I'm not wowed. They remind me a little of us last year doing a total rebuild and getting numbers in early.

imo we cant plan to finish in the autos even with those signings, I don't see us in the autos and smashing the league but hopefully there or there abouts again. we already have a decent lb, rw isn't a big deal there was too much focus on banks last season, , we need other players to create and score.

playoffs again is my bet.
