Summer 2023 Transfer Rumours

You'd hope he's not a one season guy, but his form was very patchy and didn't really tear it up against the better sides in the league. He tended to only score in 1 or 2 games a month.

Scored against Rochdale & Harrogate in August, 1 at Hartlepool in September, another at Gillingham in October, 1 each against Colchester & Swindon in November. Got a brace against Crawley & 1 against Harrogate in Feb. Scored 1 against Sutton & a brace against Salford in March. Got a brace against Barrow in April and finally a brace against us in May.

 

I did make this point to @Park bantam. He's had one decent season so doubt we've been looking at him for longer than that.

 

Do you remember Banks for the doggies, played fantastic against us , they were shite and went down like a lead balloon.
We signed him, decidedly average.

 

We signed him based on that goal he scored towards the Kop. Weren’t they rock bottom at the time , we were in the top half dozen and they beat us 1-0.
He moved in to a house on Prince’s Cres off Kings Rd where we lived .

 

A freelance Lincoln City journalist linking us with Hull City's Tyler Smith, claiming he's beat mates with Smallwood and will move down to league 2 because he believes in the project. 0 goals in 7 on loan at Oxford last season and 4 in 32 for Hull. That's exactly the sort of person we haven't heard of/low goal scoring forward to bring everyone back down earth with over some of the names mentioned.

 

He's got a grand total of zero followers. He's about as much a journalist as I am an astronaut.

Tyler Smith is a decent player. Got in the Champ TOTW in Jan 23. He wouldn’t be the worse signing we could make. Better than Harrat

it certainly did not help, did they do the double over us that year. I seem to remember they only won about 5 games all season.

 

Just checked 6 wins , 19 points from safety and 14 from second bottom. Heaviest ever defeat 10- 1 against Man city and conceded 100 goals.
We won at their gaff 2-1

 

Tyler Smith - not a great season last year but scored 10 in 26 at L1 level for Swindon a couple of years ago. Only 24 years old so time on his side.

Might be worth a punt especially at L2 level.

 

Wonder if we've ever looked at Andrew Dallas. Decent strike rate in the National League and only 23. Also out of contract.

 

He isnt ex Boro, a journeyman or non scoring so unlikely id say.

 

Could be this season's Dom Telford.

Or he may have another good season.

Everything is a risk though!

 

Definitely not a journeyman at 23yrs old. Start at Rangers, football league experience with Cambridge, went to Solihull and scored a few for them, wanted a move in Jan but Solihull held on for too long as we're wanting too much and was loaned out to Chesterfield, scored 6 in 12 up to their playoff final. Runs all day apparently, I'd take a punt on him. Especially due to him being younger.

I've wondered in the past why a league club has never taken a punt on Dallas, always looked decent when seeing him on tv

 

Grimsby, Hartlepool and 'potentially other League Two teams' are circling according to Grimsby's local paper.

Sounds like there's interest, but possibly lower end?
