It has been used. Grimsby were using those seats. They didn't use all of them but they used 2 blocks worth.

 

If this is in fact the case, the club/people in charge of these things are even more stupid than first thought. Should have just put that on the first article they released yesterday, it would have appeased thousands of fans, and we wouldn't have a 17 page thread about it on here!

 

I've seen a handful of folk sat down there on a few occasions and just thought they must be academy players or something like that. Don't remember seeing Grimsby fans down there, must be time for a visit to Specsavers!

 

The central 10 seats down the middle of the stand are a great view. We had season tickets on second row from back when it was the family stand and we were gutted when we were moved as it was a great view and you were still fairly close to the action

 

And people wasting time either queuing at VP, on the phone or waiting for a reply to their email. If the swaps were not having to be done others would be served quicker too

 

My mind must have been well and truly on the game that day because I still don't recall it, even seeing it now with my own eyes!

 

Not quite sure how suggesting I am lonely is “humour”.

But forcing 20000 people to scramble for a different seat whilst trying to co-ordinate with friends and family in such a short time would have been crazy.
When it’s been done in the past there have been a few weeks notice.

 

Not many teams bring a level of support which requires the lower tier to be opened. That makes people think that it's never used, it's just it's not needed.

 

Has the ticket situation been sorted now.

Can season ticket holders get their seat or not.

 

yes, got mine in about 5 minutes this morning, which included changing my password to log in.

 

I for one have not had a reply to my email
They have until lunchtime tomorrow to move me to my season ticket seat or I will be taking a 50 mile round trip to sort it out

 

no matter how the club had done this, they would probably have got grief from someone.
it is very short notice to shift up to 23000 tickets, although a bit more communication yesterday evening , would not have gone amiss.

 

They didn't need to piss any fans off though that's the point.

They could have kept everyone sweet. Now Marco is going to have to change his name to Mark, sell his house and go into hiding from the Midland Road mafia. Sparks is running scared and pretending he doesn't even know what an email is anymore and Rupps flecked of back to Germany in case they go after him too. Personally I love it takes me right back to the ticket stub scandal where I made a fortune ripping off the real die hard fans who didn't have a single ticket stub from any match that season for some reason .

Seriously tho I'm pleased the majority can sit in their seats it's better than a free for all but don't have a pop at people who are genuinely peed off with it they do have a point. Just let them have a vent its not gonna change owt but it might make them feel a bit better!

 

Easy option would have been to have left the set up as it was for Monday, and if Carlisle needed extra tickets they could open downstairs in TL Dallas. That way no movement needed and just let people buy their own seat

 

I've not had a reply and have sent a chase to the Media manager, Lewis Redmond, who seems to be covering Ryans Inbox. Their suggestion was to ring.
