From a personal and selfish perspective. I’m not bothered, in fact it would probably benefit me finishing when it’s light and slightly warmer is always a bonus.

However there is an ethical dilemma here that everyone bought the product on the premises that Saturday games were 3pm(unless moved for tv), so it’s hard to support something that could effect many people negatively should it be enforced. Like Fordy says, if we are to bring it in do it next season and maybe increase season ticket prices by around £10? To cover the extra costs from this season. Be upfront and honest and I’m sure most would agree to it. However changing them now could alienate 100s of fans and I wouldn’t blame them if they wanted a refund and didn’t come back after saving some money of electric bills was put before their custom.

So what if the majority of League 2 vote to bring it in are City gonna be able to do anything about it anyhow ?????
Maybe City are doing the right thing in getting the fans opinion knowing that there gonna be forced into it anyhow

NOTE YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR VOTE.

Like you I have changed my view. The evidence to win the argument was not in place. That is the approximate difference in cost of the two options. I also had not thought through the consequences on a lot of other supporters.

I have changed my vote accordingly.

I have written to the club to tell them that I had now changed my view, unless they produced more detail, which made it absolutely compelling.

I suggest that members write to the Club. It is absolutely pointless to complain (moan) and do nothing about it!

As long as you don't have much to say. I had to end mine due to the character limit on the field...

What will be the threshold in the votes for 1pm kick offs? Surely not a majority.

Even if it’s 75% in favour and 25% against, that’s still a lot of fans who are going to be affected and maybe not able to go to games.

For me they have to stick to 3pm, and if the club are going to be financially affected, our commercial expert Davide Longo needs to start earning his corn a lot more by getting more sponsors on board or negotiating other deals.

Given the survey is running until Saturday but all the EFL clubs are meeting on Thursday morning to discuss the plans going ahead, the survey was probably just to gauge the fans perspective on it, rather than have fans included in the decision. We'll hear what's happening in an EFL statement before we see the numbers from this survey.

Very unfair we are already doing great on that front business up and down the country are falling because of the cost of energy and football is not exempt

I only voted for this because it suits me I don’t want to see others miss out. By the way it can work the other way I know someone who sits close to us who misses some matches because he works shifts sometimes starting 4pm Saturday

Im not fussed either way. Id quite like the fact we wouldn’t have to wait as long until KO but thinking about others who travel to games from outside the city, take their kids to junior football on a Saturday snd those who work mornings, can’t see this getting off the ground.

How much are we talking for the floodlights and stadium lighting on matchdays as the other energy costs will have to be covered irrespective of whether KO is 1 or 3 pm.

The real problem is the energy prices and Liz Truss refusing to introduce a windfall tax on the fat cat energy companies, letting down business and us peasants.

Definitely not for me, for various reasons. Stick to 3pm KO's

Also seems ridiculous that they are considering this for Saturdays (17k fans in ground) yet are fine with playing the mickey mouse pub trophy on a midweek evening in front of a vastly reduced audience. Something doesn't add up (literally)

I do wonder how many extra games would be postponed during this period compared to previous years.

Given we are in the colder months, a lot of games will be subject to pitch inspections due to the frost etc. For a 1pm kick off any inspection would have to take place at 10am when all the frost will still be in the ground. A 3pn kick off gives you an extra 2 or 3 hours of potentially warmer weather to get the game playable

I think solely on electric £10 should be enough, 14000x10 should cover the increase. But with the cost of living increases the club may want to pay their off field employees more for instance and there are other costs other than just electrical. So you maybe right we may have to think about a £50 rise depending on division.

The club employs a number of low paid workers would fans begrudge them an increase in these times? It’s only fair we pay are way as football fans it’s not only footballers that the club employs.

Well when you get home at around 4ish and you have to use more gas and electric then its like hmmm Bradford City are saving money and as their customer I am now having to pay more on my bills. So, yes you might get home when its lighter but you will be paying for it. Fans need to also think about this - moving the time will be costing them more money in the long run in their own bills!

Talk Sport mentioned this survey today and said it was good we have asked. The Mansfield Chairman thinks they will lose about 50 from their attendance with it. That's half their gate !
