200% for it, means home games will kick off at 10.00pm rather than midnight down under ...."get in"

Every game will be like this Saturday away in North Yorkshire ⚽️

I seriously think it’s gonna happen now .......... if the club probably have a decent amount backing it say 80% then I think it’s coming in

I suspect this survey is more of an opinion piece for the club's press office to get the debate going in the EFL.
If the survey provides a positive response to early kick offs then expect a press release along the lines of "xx% of fans back early kick off move"

I wonder how many of the season ticket fanbase will bother to vote and the ones who don’t then moan when the decision is made.

Morning kick offs no risk then.

Well I feel sorry for the fans if it does.

What are Bradford City going to do next change everyone’s working hours from 9-5 to 7-3?

It’s things like this that lets football down. 14k plus brought season tickets with 3pm kick off times, some people live more than 20 miles away, some people work on a Saturday morning etc. They is no consideration to them people.

The reason I would vote NO is because like the rest of the country and most industries football should be sucking up the bills. Blame the government, blame Russia, blame whoever but we should be all in it together.

Next season if the EFL and PL want to move kick off times then fine but now should be a no.

If Bradford City do it then they don’t appreciate then 17k that go in my opinion.

It's a no for me,y 2 sons both play on a Saturday and I coach their teams so wouldn't be able to make it.

Also my bro is a postie and he wouldn't finish in time to get there, we both live in hgate.

Reading the replies, then it seems as though a significant number of Bantam Talk members have commitments which would prevent them from getting to 1.00 pm kick offs.

From a personal point of view it makes little difference.

City have not been totally transparent. If they said the heating/lighting cost of playing the game at 1.00 pm was £X, whereas playing at 3.00 pm was £Y, then we could see the difference. At the moment none of us have any accurate idea as to the savings/additional costs involved.

However I really hope the club takes into account the views of Supporters, who cannot change times, and in solidarity with those, I think City should stick to 3.00pm kick offs.

If the EFL stated it was going to change at the beginning of the season that would be different, as people would have some opportunity to review before paying.

Just a small observation. If an occasional game is cancelled on a Saturday, then a mid week 7.45 option is used. That is also very inconvenient for some. I also wonder how many decided not to go to Harrogate because it was a 1.00pm kick off?

I think this will make a few clubs think to the long term in terms of green solutions for stadium energy usage. I know Arsenal have a large battery set up where they can store energy, i saw it on you tube a while back. There will be restrictions for some clubs with location and cost but its definitely worth considering in these new economic times.

    Fully agree with all this.

If we use this winter as a test to keep see how much the increase in bills is then fine if the EFL want to change all games to 1pm next season I won't have a problem but just to do it now is out of order to the fans.

Harrogate match is different because what only 1k or so fans are allowed to go from Bradford City. Our home matches effect 17k fans.

There's an EFL meeting on Thursday to discuss the 1pm KO plans and a statement will be released after a decision has been made. They could well decide to do something as a league or leave it up to the 2 playing clubs to see if it is beneficial.

I suppose it's different for every club. Hartlepool for example, averaging just over 4100 home fans for their 3pm KOs so far this season, their 1pm KO against us had their highest home attendance of 4300 for the city match. Also worth remembering attendances at all clubs naturally slide when the weather turns.

Fixtures with a slated 3pm KO at VP between Nov up to March 2023 as stated on the survey. I wondered if any clubs were long travellers, so they might be against the 1pm KO as they'd have to spend on travel and hotels on the Friday to make KO times, but all would be day of travelling teams anyway.

That’s why unlike Mansfield they are consulting the fans before making a decision

If I can't make 3pm icks off, I will be getting a pro rata return on my season ticket cost. Imagine 1k, 2k (50k-100k potentially 8 games averaged at say £40ish quid) fans wanting that. Offset the costs here against utilities and the reduction in goodwill amongst a section of your fanbase, a dilemma indeed

They don't need. Just wait for the EFL to do something or nothing.

Read the small print mate not sure you'll get a refund, unless I've read it wrong.

Yep, reads that way to me too although these T&Cs is a lot of 'section X is only relevant if sectiony.1.2 has been carried out' types of phrasing.

    4. Changes to Dates, Refunds & Exchanges
4.1 No guarantees will be given by the Club that a Match will take place at a time or on a date. The Club reserves the right to reschedule any Match without notice and without any liability whatsoever. Your Season Ticket will enable you to attend the rearranged Match.

Looks like refunds are only available if the club cant offer alternative viewing for games out of public viewing.

There is a section for your thoughts in the consultation if enough people make their feelings known I am sure the club will take that into consideration

Having voted yes to changing ko's to 1.00 pm, and now having read the comments regarding the problems it will cause my fellow fans, I am now inclined to keep the ko's at 3.00 pm
