Don't agree with why the FL and PL have postponed this weekend's games, but I understand why. If they'd gone ahead, the likes of the Daily Mail and Express would have been running headlines about these institutions being run by; 'dangerous radicals that hate England, they're worse than the Taliban'. Doesn't seem to affect them though, they can work and publish their newspapers, it's other people who have to 'show respect' by modifying their behaviour, do as we say, not as we do.

 

The FA have cancelled all games down to grassroots level, it's not just the PL & EFL. This is hackney marsh level cancellations.

 

Just check Dave, some tickets are refundable, some are not, all those that are refundable are subject to a “ cancellation fee” . It was in my time for sure.

The Premier League Statement leaves it open ended.

"This is aligned with the approach that The FA and EFL will take with their competitions this weekend.

Further updates regarding Premier League fixtures during the period of mourning will be provided in due course."

If they intend to postpone games or play them being clear now might be a start. It's alot harder for people to change plans if it is announced a few days before than if it were to confirm that the midweek and next week fixtures are to go ahead now.

My comments are in line with the EFL statement which I have seen and is aligned to the FA and PL. The statement makes clear it’s only 9&10 September matches and my message from the Club says unless there is a change by those Authorities our next game is Tranmere on Tuesday.
