    Guess they will have to call off all fixtures as a mark of respect though I don't think its entirely necessary, the papers and the telly are a complete no no for at least the week ahead now...

    Parhetic if they call matches off. Sad that she’s died - RIP - but why ruin everyones weekend by cancelling sport? What does that achieve? We aren’t gonna sit and watch memorial services instead are we. We’ll sit there brassed off that sport has been cancelled.

    Minutes silence, trumpet player on pitch, armbands, and crack on.

    My guess is because they can't trust everyone to respect said silence and some clubs won't want their names dragged through the mud due to some morons.

    Yep, Read that BBC will pull all comedy shows for next 10 days, and possibly other shows too. They have taken BBC 3 and BBC 4 off the air

    My take on it is that the games will go ahead tomorrow. Any fixture scheduled for the day of the funeral will be cancelled. Given the mess the county is in economically then a state Funeral is likely to be held on a Saturday. So either 17th or 24th September, which coincides with City home fixtures.

    If this is correct, then Mansfield Town (away), Tranmere Rovers (away) and Stevenage (home) will all be postponed.

    While they may call this weekend's I'm not sure they will do the full 10 days because of the corrupt world cup. The EFL may get a little more leeway as they aren't required to finish the season at least a week before the European finals plus many of the teams can play during international breaks (Some might even be able to fit some games in during the pre-tournament training camp periods if none of the players are called up) but fitting the fixtures in is already tight. 10 days could be as many as 4 games being postponed and there is an international break coming up. So I can see the Premier League only missing this weekends and any matches on or a few days either side of the Funeral and if that's the case I suspect the EFL will follow

    Funeral is planned for 10 days after her death which would be Sunday 18th so they might be able to pull it forward a day it they reduce the laying in state by a day

    I think the BBC said that the state funeral will be after the 10 days of mourning. I suppose it depends on when the 10 days starts, today or tomorrow?

    I honestly think they will do as they are 'advised' by the government especially if other sports follow the recommendations
