Pitch Watering

I pay Council tax, and water by the cubic meter what is the difference between that and the “ rates” . I need to look after a 6ft deep koi pond so it’s expensive but calculated differently . Sewage I have to pay twice a year by the septic tank load. So not sure which is cheaper because I have no way of a comparison.

Before water meters were a thing everyone paid water rates as well as your council tax. Those water rates were a fixed amount dependent on the old rateable value of the house. Then they invented water meters. Some people now pay for their water and sewage dependent on useage via meter and the rest still pay dependent on their old rateable value

I called you brainwashed as you think we are next in line to be an arid desert in which we are at a point of where the likes of Israel are turning salt water to drinking water due to scare mongering.

People are getting hysterical over hot weather in August! No one said anything 18 months ago when we had non stop snow in February (because it’s February) as it doesn’t fall in line with their climate change agenda.

The reservoirs are always low at this time of the year coupled with over population and poor maintenance they’re getting lower quicker.

If you said “water rates” then I would have understood. We pay roughly the same as as our old house, unmetered, as this house metered when it’s all added up. However as I live in a low rainfall area we do try and not waste it. Reservoirs are a bit thin on the ground in East Anglia .

 

As we were talking about water thought it was a redundant to say water meter and water rates every time thought it would be obvious I wasn’t talking about your electric meter and your household rates

we haven’t paid for water in with our “rates” since 74 though and back then it was all included and you didn’t get a breakdown of what amount was for roads, water , police etc

The mainstream media love to scaremonger and sensationalise. People are taking too much of this nonsense in and not actually thinking logically about reality. In the past few years we've had more snow than the previous decade. Between this heatwave and the last heatwave, we had constant, endless rain. It is perfectly normal to not have rain for a week or 2 in the summer months. In large parts of europe they've had no rain for 4+ months and counting yet they somehow manage, yet we're being fed all these buzzwords such as 'drought', 'water ban', etc to make people soil themselves.

How many more of these agenda's are being narrated behind closed doors.

 

I’m afraid everything is getting manipulated and sensationalised and a huge amount of people are falling for it. My strategy is to not watch/listen to the news and if i do accidentally listen to it I either laugh or pay no interest.

Why do people who have more views that side with the mainstream media get personal when someone questions them?

Take a look at the news for the past three years, we are getting played big time. Do you honestly trust the media? Yes the weather is changing (maybe a natural course in the earths cycle?)but not to the extent the media is making out hence my comment about brainwashing.
