I'm not but you're equating a policy that is completely unrelated to low taxes (as shown by being in force at a time when there wasn't low taxes) with an event which had noting to do with low taxes.....

.....and then bringing it into a discussion about low taxes.

If you want to talk about the effects of low regulation then let's do it but it's completely separate. You can have low regulation with high, medium or low taxes.

I suspect that taxation and borrowing are lower under Labour governments than under Tory ones

Boris Johnson. What an utter joke. A joker to the end.

He skipped an emergency meeting yesterday about the heat, fires etc to take selfies in a RAF Jet and throw another party.

Just highlighting what the Blues are all about recently - THEMSELVES!

Boris made a great parting speech at Prime Ministers questions today and showed how poor Starmer the Labour leader is, Even his own front bench looked embarrassed watching his poor attempt at trying to attack Boris and the Tories,

Labour will have to up there game, just criticising what the Tories didn't do won't win them the next election we want to know what they would do going forward, the blame game is lazy politics.

Claiming the Tories have turned the corner from the Johnson regime by having either the Chancellor or Foreign Secretary taking over will be seen right through by the public.

If you see a shitshow you don't vote the current shitshow back in, you think it's it worth trying something different. It's up the Tories to tell people why they should be given another chance not to claim anyone else would do a worse job, that is truly lazy politics.

But that's exactly what Starmer and the present Labour party are doing, pointing out the failures by the present government but offering no solutions.

Don't you believe the public will scrutinise the policies of both parties but more so a party that has not been in government for 14 years by the time the next General Election, lets give them a go its worth trying something different.

Not a tory, BUT with penny and roundhay liz so close in the mp's voting there is a case for all three going through to the tory members and you would have at least one asking for a clean break from the recent soiled events.

Genuine question - what was it that you think was mandated but not carried through?

Point 1 ) Neither of these have or will be achieved
Point 2 ) Tougher sentences, we wish
Point 3 ) Still coming in their thousands
Point 4 ) Possibly close with this one
Point 5 ) We didn't need this especially having to pay for it through direct taxes
Point 6 ) No increase in N.I rates, well we know what happened there..

They don't have to offer solutions. Don't you get that?

Back to school for you to learn about politics!!

The simple fact is that in General elections the voters do not vote for a party but against one

    Spot on.

I watch PMQ at times and Boris is great at trying to fool the public (clearly working on people like @Bronco@Bronco who don't understand things) that Labour or the other parties have to come up with solutions. No they don't. They have to agree with the solutions or disagree. They don't always have to offer an alternative or a solution to any problems the UK is having. That isn't their job. It's up to however ever is in power to lead the country and come up with solutions.

Also, how can you really come up with solid solutions when you haven't all the insight? Fishy the Rat Richi should have been speaking to the Bank of England doing deals with them to not increase interest rates so high in a short period. He failed to do that and talking to businesses to control their price increases. Labour or whoever don't get involved.

In the General Election not many fully understand what I party will or won't do. As you say they vote against one. The blues made soundbites without telling people the real facts and this is one of the manage reasons this country is in a mess.

Anyone, who believed the Blues fully wanted to level up the North is an idiot!

Thats what they have done for years now which is why they have only seen office for around 13 years of the last 40 odd!!!

Finger pointers, not problem solvers. They are unelectable.

It is there job! It is there job to appeal to the electorate by offering alternative solutions!!! How on earth do you become elected if you do not have the answer?

What the hell do you think a manifesto is for?

The Tories are a disgrace but Labour are a shite show.

Sunak and Truss into the final two is grimly uninspiring.

As unreliable as he was I can't help feeling that the Conservatives are going to end up regretting knifing Johnson.

The ball is very much in Labour's court currently. Can they come up with anything positive that is more than simply anti-Tory rhetoric?

The manifesto is for the General Election. Every week they don't have to come up with answers.

What you saying Labour is a shit show on? Based on what? They are not in charge.
