    One of the best come back lines I heard was from a friend of my daughters the other day. I was walking with them through town and one lad in a group said something and she replied, quick as a flash - "you're the reason they put instructions on shampoo bottles". I Instinctively laughed. It was very funny.

    Max has done brilliantly at Woking but leaving as couldn't agree terms - I think he has something lined up. My own view is National League is his level but he is a great lad and might be able to step up one more division.
    One little extra, he is a really good penalty taker!

    It's a bit of a random name out of a hat, isn't it? I recognised him from his Wycombe days.

    His Twitter says he's an academy coach, which is impressive for a 28 year old.

    Kinda sounds suitable, but maybe that's just the player/coach signing of Doyle worming it's way into my mentality.

    Good goalscoring record at non league level, I guess the question is if he's technically good enough for top end L2, which is where we want to be. If he's not, all the goals in the world won't change it, but if he is, sure, why not.

    I remember in one of our marketing lectures at university, the tutor told us a story about Head & Shoulders having sales troubles. They brought in an analyst who studied shampoo usage. His solution - he added just one word on the packaging: “Repeat”. He put this word after the text “Wash scalp and rinse. Repeat”. Head and Shoulders doubled their volumes. So it goes to show, people DO read instructions on shampoo bottles :)
