Hopefully alongside watt but anyone in centre midfield, be massive for young players to have a player that’s been there done it at a high level

 

I think he's dropped deeper as he's aged. So yes, I'd assume that his role would be in one of the 2 deeper midfield roles, pulling the strings. Similar to the sort of job Paul Coutts does for Bristol. I'd assume he still has a wicked set piece delivery too....

What I am liking about this summers recruitment is that it seems we have targeted specific players and got them in quickly.

The season hasn't yet finished and we have done some significant business and most are younger aged players. Looking to a longer term stable team set up over the coming years?

Like I say every season I am happy to judge them after seeing them play so will wait on that score.

 

At least we are not waiting until August to sign players that no one else wants

 

Rudden looks decent up front , but the overall standard looks poor. Mr Adams…..not for me , he’s carrying lots perhaps?

 

A lot of talk about Vernham staying or going. Id like to see him stay but thats besides the point

for those saying why should he go to Lincoln, when he can stay at bradford city, well the facts are obvious

Lincoln is in a higher division
They’l probably pay the same wage, if not more
Its closer to home
He hasn’t had the best of spells here due to whats going on but hopefully that changes with Hughes
He gets to play with a better level of players

if big crowds was one of the main factors to deciding where to play, why would players higher up the football ladder be more inclined to play for the Likes of Bournemouth an Brentford when they could go to Sheffield Wednesday? the answer is pretty obvious

 

Why do our fans always struggle with Scottish footballers names.

I do remember the Gillingham striker we signed in Maccas first stint as manager. Fair to say we all struggled and opted for Dave.

 

Can't find all the various Oldham posts now but Piergianni has signed for Stevenage. Was surprised to read he's 28! Defo thought he was over 30 at least!!

His date of birth is 03.05.92. Someone at Stevenage isn't very good at maths.

 

It will be interesting to see if Callum Roberts stays at Notts County now they are resigned to another season of non league.
