It comes with true territory on twitter and the like yes. A lot come off of it when it’s not going too well but are on it when it is.
You can turn off replies now to your tweets. There are ways around it.
But I agree it’s a cess pit. It has its good points but is overshadowed by that shite

 

People like that annoy me. If you are going to use a platform to grandstand and proclaim greatness or predict greatness don't be surprised when you get called out when your greatness is shown to be nothing more than Emperors New Clothes

 

I agree. There’s no place for the personal abuse and threats some get but if he can’t take the criticism then don’t be grandstanding all summer like you say

 

I agree on criticism but he was talking about personal abuse. Social media should be no different than having a conversation with someone at a pub, don’t say what you aren’t willing to say to someone’s face. I look at the city hashtag on Twitter but don’t contribute nor would I, not the brightest bunch on there but an upgrade from the Facebook page.

The Bradford city Facebook page is the scariest thing I’ve ever scrolled through, I honestly think people on there cannot wipe their own arse.

 

Spot on. If you are happy to use it to self glorify then dont expect people to be nice to you when you get it wrong. It cuts both ways.

I don’t for a second condone abuse, but Sparks was sharp enough to be on the socials in the summer pushing the no mediocrity allowed and promotion or bust lines to help him flog season tickets. As soon as things have started to get tricky he’s started hiding.

Outside of the forum and programme notes, who hears from him? Does he reply to emails? Has he explained the dreadful performances? Another poor transfer window? What the aim is now promotion is sliding away? Has he bollocks.

Lad’s running a business the size of a small supermarket, I bet Tesco Extra on Canal Road turns over more in a month than City in a year. I would be surprised if the Tesco Express by the Belle
Vue isn’t a bigger business. And Sparks is giving it Billy Big Bollocks about being the youngest CEO in the FL.

Like I say, I don’t condone abuse, but, in my opinion, the lad has made a rod for his own back with some of the stuff he’s come out with on promotion, mediocrity and openness and sacking two managers and a recruitment director in his first ten months and so on. He’ll do well to keep his head down and let the league position so the talking.

If you listen to the podcast, he claims he replies to all emails from fans and is always happy to talk. It’d be interesting if someone on here has emailed him and did they get a response.

 

Some of this hate towards sparks is laughable, listened to the podcast today and can’t say I disagreed with anything he said. People kicking off because sparks said he expected promotion, why wouldn’t he? Didn’t we all expect the same? Watched the game last night and performance was shocking, and not using the players he’s been given properly is Adams fault, my patience is wearing thin with that guy

 

He does right to keep of Twitter whatever he says is always comes in for abuse. He took charge from “ The invisible man “ just over a year ago and granted the team improvement has been slow but everything else in the club is moving forward. Ground improvements the pitch better than it has been for years a big increase in sponsorship leading to more money to spend.fan consultations.He went out and poached a manager from a side who were promoted. He is new to the job and there is no doubt about it he has made mistakes but providing he sticks around I am backing him to get it right.
