Lets just say sparks and Rupp walk tomorrow, does anyone really think the grass is greener? Our problems at the moment are down to Derek Adams, dont care what anyone says. I've got no reason to believe we haven't got a top 3 budget, some fans just have it in their heads that 'he won't invest', and that's why we bottled the second half on saturday. Bullshit conspiracy theories i think are a consequence of the club being burned by Rahic, the constant paranoia that 'things aren't right behind the scenes' because of an evil overlord doing the club dirty. Let's just see what happens when they both inevitably go because of our thick fans.

 

I hope nobody on here would be that cowardly and scummy tbh, regardless of peoples thoughts on him as CEO it’s totally out of order. Probably some cretin off Facebook or Twitter, stinks of someone who lurks on social media.

 

Top 3 budget now is it? Weeks ago it was mid table, then top 7, top 5 and now top 3. The Rupp apologists know no bounds to the nonsense they sprout. I don’t think we’d be better off if they both suddenly walked out tomorrow no, but I do if we got bought out tomorrow and they hired based on a philosophy and vision they had for the club.

Being angry at the lack of planning, lack of a footballing culture or philosophy, lack of ambition, lack of coherent strategy regarding managers and coaches, lack of success and lack of quality personnel at the club isn't a conspiracy theory.

Yes I echo those thoughts. However as much as I can’t do with Rupp , Sparks has made some very bold comments and i knew straight away he had set himself up for a fall.

 

So from the time Rupp & Rahic purchased our club we have had one good season and IMO that was helped by Phil Parkinson leaving a very good bunch of professionals footballers at our club when he went (after hearing Rupp & Rahic's comments with regards our club going forward) of course credit to Stuart for adding others who complemented those already here.
Since then it has been downhill every season under different managers appointed by the owner or with his blessing, yet you say "Our problems at the moment are down to Derek Adams, don't care what anyone says" so accepting that comment what's gone before is also all past football managers fault, nothing to do with the people who ultimately gave the go ahead to bring the new manager in.
I do agree Rahic is long gone and cant be blamed for things that are going on today, but as a fellow poster who is nearer the club and its daily going on said at the time of Rahic being fired it would take 5 years to get back to any normality, we are now in the 4th year of Rahic's departure and we sit 11th in League Two because we have a plus goal difference.

 

Some of the comments we read on here occasionally it wouldn't surprise me @WilsdenBantam, when speaking with @Rogered Tart this forum is tame in comparison.

It’s certainly not an easy ride atm Broncs, I’m assured by @wetherbywhaler ’s comments that it would take 5 years to get us back to where we were pre Rahic, only 18 months until we’re fighting for the playoffs in league 1. I can’t wait.

Like you say it’s probably some spotty little oik thinking it’s big and clever to use some swear words and abuse somebody on a social media platform.

Not sure that applying the term 'time' is entierly the best parameter. Fine when setting targets but football wise, the main progress has surely to be the assembly of a balanced squad, well drilled through effective management. This is purely down to choices on what type of player we bring in and how he fits into the team. Time isn't the over riding criteria here,I think that with the right management and backing we would make progress irrespective of time restraints. I am sure Sparks has improved the overall stability in the day to day running of the Club and the marketing team seem to have made progress in the most challenging of times.But you can't get away from the importance of stitching together the fabric that provides the platform for success on the field. 3 years is really time spent on wasted opportunity imo.

Absolutely disgraceful. I sincerely hope the numbers of those who did this can be identified and dealt with accordingly. Regardless of opinion and debate on message boards such as this, abuse direct to Sparks phone is completely unacceptable.

 

I’ve worked in roles where you get abused by customers, totally agree it’s disgraceful as I believe people don’t deliberately set out to do a bad job, I was often abused for following Policy for instance and doing my job right. But it is nature of the beast where customers are concerned, some people are just pricks. Unless it was his private number it’s unlikely anything could happen and even so still nothing will happen.
