You're right about the LFTs - shouldn't be allowed as a pass. Passport are not actually about protecting people at events primarily. They're being used to try to incentivise vaccination amongst the unvaccinated. Of course our feckwit government can't even get that right.

Are you seriously deluded enough to think everybody is going to get vaccinated? You’d have to be even more deluded to think more people will suddenly get vaccinated when even after 2/3 jabs we are still seeing a record spread of the virus and yet never-ending restrictions still being imposed on us.

 

I think you are missing the point. It's about trying to keep as many people out of hospital as is possible. Yes the virus is spreading but are the numbers in hospital rising at the same rate v the number of infections as they did before we were vaccinated? I am sure someone will be able to tell me.

If so, then surely the club should be looking to ban you as there are dozens of posters / messages around the ground stating that discrimination of any kind is not welcome at VP.

You are not being discriminated as its Government policy being implemented not the Club suddenly deciding to invent an ad hoc rule.

Show your Covid pass, test negative on the day (I don't agree with this bit but hey ho) or stay at home. It is as simple as that.

Everywhere vaccine passports have been introduced vaccination rates have increased. That is the reason for the passports, not to prevent infection within the venues that passports are required to access.

 

If that's true it won't remain so long. Estimated 200,000 infections a day now, and up to 1 million a day by the end of the month with omicron. Vaccines protect but are not perfect. Many remain unvaccinated.
