Well that was dirge wasn't it?

Another pitiful performance at home, we never looked like scoring all game, somehow got one out of nothing, yet instead of capitilising we sat back and seemed happy with a point. Bizarre.

Not quite sure of the mentality of opposing teams, if I'd have been a Northampton fan I'd have been screaming at them to get us, knowing we had so little upfront.

Another comedy goal conceded, paudie diving in 60 yards from goal again, ridehalgh left three on one but letting them walk into the box and then the liability himself staying on his line and not narrowing the angle, yet still getting beat near post. It's laughable goals every week.

I don't know where we go from here, how we are eve. Near the playoffs is beyond me. Adams might be planning on keeping us in touch until january but my word he is going to need some brass to spend

 

He has no point about how teams come to play against us.

Adams has it all wrong. He won't get away with negative football at Bradford unless he gets the results. He isn't even setting up for us to win matches. Seriously, its bad.

Our goal was no luckier than theirs to be fair.

1 defensive mistake each, 1-1 draw. I think FCD was the lad who slipped and Ridehalgh and O'Donnell were hung out to dry - nothing they could have done.

I actually thought Lavery ballsed up the pass to Vernam, but luckily Vernam was more clinical than normal.

 

You talk like we actually have a brand of football we are renowned for. We don't.

DA will get us promoted I am sure of that but we need better options to choose from eg Gillead.

Eisa looked busy when he came on today. Got into some good positions.

If we had 1 up top who could play that role it would be OK but as we don't then it didn't work.

 

Robinson is not a target man. Has never been one, will never be one. If anybody pays close attention to him, You’l realise that he doesn’t ever look comfortable at heading the ball. If anything, he tries to roll the defender but it never works. For those who used to bash Hanson on a weekly all those years ago; I hope you now realise how important and effective it is to have a target man of his quality in a team like this.

Northampton look like they came for the point. The goal they scored once again highlighted how poor our defensive response was. 4 Northampton players are running full pelt to join the counter whilst Our players are jogging back. Canavan does his best to remedy the situation an choses the right moment to close the Northampton attacker down, Unfortunately O’Donnell once again Balls it up.

The most important trait of a goalkeeper is Positioning.

Knowing where to stand; as simple as it may sound, can effectively decide whether a shot by an opponent requires a routine save, an exceptional save or leaves the keeper with no chance. In this case, O’Donnell left himself with no chance. Far too central when it was obvious that the only true angle the Northampton attacker had was the close post, an the shot wasn’t even close to the corner.

With the injuries that have mounted up these past couple of months, I do feel like Adams has been in damage control mode. Basically scrapping by until we get to January where fixture congestion may somewhat ease up an the chance may arise for new players to enter the scene.

That being said, I do hope that we go out with intentions of winning on Tuesday against Tranmere. Angol should be fully fit by then so we actually stand a chance of being effective when hoofing the ball. I’d like to see Eisa given a longer run as well along with Lavery who looks to be a fairly intelligent attacker an has the potential to show us more in the coming games

 

It’s time to admit we are not good enough.
When we play with two up front we cause problems, today was a lacklustre performance, spoilt by Northampton dramatics and a poor referee. But, we still looked poor in our play, short passing, balls over hit. This is league 2 so suppose this is what to expect

 

He is the right man for the club - Yes! but that's because we have an owner that's not interested and a CEO that doesn't know what he's doing.

 

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but how was Cousin-Dawson's tackle not a sending off? From where I was sat it looked like the most obvious red card I've seen live for ages!

Don't think we did enough today to win the game, so a draw was probably the right result in what was a poor and frustrating game.
we seem to have players that lack football intelligence and in some cases abillity also.
our tactics are also naïve, as others have highlighted earlier.
Robinson needed to be a bit cuter, he was being bullied by the 2 centre halfs so needed to back in and win a foul, rather than trying to out muscle them.
Too many passes went astray today gifting possesion back to the opposition..
All of the above I can forgive and to some extent accept as we are playing at a level where that's to be expected.
But the thing that really annoys me is the constant gamesmenship/cheating of opposition players and the complete ineptitude of the officials to deal with it

People are forgetting he had all summer to assemble this squad.

He was appointed as soon as morecambe went up.

Yes, Turnbull was still there, but we can’t keep making excuses. He had sufficient time to assemble a squad worthy of challenging yet we’re closer to the relegation zone than we are the summit.

 

Adam’s negative football is awful to watch you can only get away with shite defensive tactics if you are winning and we are not. Effort and Passion are what City fans expect and like to see and limited players can be forgiven if the effort is there, this is not the case with yet another pathetic group of players. I doubt Gilliead and Watts kits will even need washing before Tuesday given the lack of effort they show. I don’t generally feel that constantly getting rid of managers is a good idea but with this awful brand of football I am struggling to see how Adam’s is going to win over a large section of the supporters. He needs to change the awful 1 up front and 2 holding midfielders at home and actually try and play some front foot entertaining football, at the moment the garbage they are serving up is not worthy of getting 15k fans to go and watch.
