Summer 2021 Transfers

So, given that 3 of the 4 players offered new contracts have been announced with no fan fare and one at a time every morning so far this week at around 8am, and we have not today heard about the other one, what are we all thinking?
Is Hornby still weighing up his options/ decided to move on? Or is a bigger deal going to be made about him extending his time with us, suggesting that he may be first choice next season?

 

It maybe the later, if it’s the former move on he’s been a number 2 in league 2 for years I’m sure we can find someone as good out there in the big wide footballing world. In fact I’d hoped for a upgrade on both keepers personally but think Hornby will be number 1 should he stay.

 

I'm hoping Hornby will move on because I believe we can get better whereas if Hornby signs we definitely aren't signing another first choice keeper.

Think Remi Matthews has been released by Bolton. I know PP was a big fan and think Adams took him to another club he was at before, possibly Plymouth. I think he'd be an upgrade on both OD and Hornby

 

I’m not a fan of “jack of all trades” footballers to be honest and didn’t like the fact McCall seemed to focus on this type of player. Get the best player available within our budget for the starting 11 and use the remaining squad for injuries etc. Someone who is half decent in one position and half decent in another, tends to be just an average player all round.

 

O'Sullivan won't be following Adams to City, he's signed a 3 year deal with Accrington.

 

Wouldn't surprise me if Songo'o rocks up somewhere in league 1. Not convinced some of the players linked with us because they have played for Adams elsewhere necessarily means they would stay in league 2 to play for him again

Bowman signed for Shrewsbury. I think he may have been mentioned in these near 110 pages
