It's not a matter of people not liking change if the club or in this case Ryan are not offering an alternative to instalments then IMO its not on, I can't believe that on top of the offer of paying the same as a punter would do for paying up front, someone else pays over 10 months they will then offer discounts on other things within the club, I get that an outside business may give you a discount as has been previously mentioned.

With the Leeds example it was 28 quid on top of the £400. I guess it's of benefit to some otherwise they wouldn't do it. Also the difference in season ticket prices is a big factor, its alright shelling out £150 in one go but if your starting to pay out around £500 then that's a big amount out of a monthly account. I can't see the club ever taking away the option to pay the full amount upront though because as Mike Hunt said cash is king when cash flow is needed.

I can't see that happening in any meaningful number though, I'd also imagine the club will have gathered information from others who have introduced these schemes over the last few years.

Any supporter who does do that should be banned from buying a membership again IMO.

Don't then. Until you can get it you will keep saying the same thing over and over again. Do Sky charge you more if you pay monthly?

So even less chance of people cancelling because we have a few bad games

Wasn't the Leeds thing a finance deal like we already offer?

What cost would there be? Maybe the cost of claiming a direct debit each month, maybe 1%? The rest would be built into the ticketing system. Whereas someone paying by credit/debit card at the ticket office the bank would charge about 3%, so the monthly option is cheaper for the club.

Poor comparison, have Sky ever asked for a 12 month subscription upfront no, their business model was allways based on subscription where as with Bradford City it was money up front, thd monthly payments are an avenue they are thinking of offering fans.

Probably, I always pay upfront so have no idea what the clubs finance offers are. Not worth paying monthly for £150

Maybe not for you, but if a family of 5 are going it is £750, they may prefer to spread it.

But it is cheaper than you paying in one go at the ticket office, so in fact it is a saving

SKY usually do a 12 month minimum contract which is not able to be cancelled, Even after that it is a struggle to leave them,

Oh I agree. As I've just mentioned elsewhere if I was paying championship or Premier league prices I would be paying monthly, it's the way it's done these days.

Netflix, prime etc all have alternatives when you find you've backed a turkey. You just change programme and continue. The choice they have is immense and well worth the outlay. Football on the other hand, has one product and if thats sheeit people will vote with their feet and cancel the subscription. At least with the finance model they know they have to keep it because they are tied in to a contract that non payment would give them a default or CCJ on their credit report for so less reason to stop paying.

Whose going to be employed to collect unpaid fees ? The gyms etc, just send it to a debt collection agency if you break the contract. The issue with this is it creates a contract.

I'm not questioning other fan's who prefer to pay this way, it's not my preferred way of paying as @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart states above, let's wait and see the detail but don't just make it the only option available to fans who prefer to make a one off payment.
