As @Storck@Storck posted above its fine if the club offer both methods of payment but apparently Hull don't offer the payment up front option, now if Bradford City go down that route and we can't pay up front and I have to pay a % on the 10 month payment I'd say that will cause a lot of resentment with many fans.

If we're going down this route, and ending the flexi card offer, I think the 6 and 12 match bundles Hull offer are also something we should look at offering too.

I agree entirely @Bronco@Bronco .Find it really strange that Hull don’t offer an upfront payment.
Not keen myself on a monthly option.Never paid for my ticket like that and don’t really want to start now.

Surely the subscription model rather than a finance option would have a massive impact on cashflow and be financial suicide. A poor season and we could see wholesale cancellations

    This is from Hull's offer:

Please note that Memberships are for a minimum 12-month period, with a two-month notice period for cancellations thereafter.

The only option at Lincoln is subscription, that in effect is your ST.

I'd think with what we have just been through and as some have pointed out at last nights games certain clubs could not fill their allocation Bradford City would be foolish to make every fan take the installment payment, especially if there is % added because its an installment plan.
I personally can't see why the club couldn't offer both, but I'm against anyone forcing me into doing something I dont want to do, I'd suggest the club is actually generating money from this installment plan where as a one off payment they don't, I hope Ryan has given this method of payment fof all very serious consideration.

There won't be an option to take out a subscription for one month, it isn't an opt in, opt out as you please type of thing.

I agree but you could still join at any point. I sign up for a 12/18 contract with Sky for my TV but I can do that at any point. If the season ticket is £200 then the subscription term could be a 10 month contract at £20 p/m. Therefore not penalising anyone in terms of adding cost and also allowing people to join part way e.g. after 4 months sign-up for the remaining 6 months, still at £20 a month.

Like I say, I'm willing to give it a go but expect the club (and fans) to learn as we go along and for things to be tweaked in future seasons.

Not really. I work in this area for a major telecommunications company and churn rates (% of people leaving) are actually quite low.

Don't get me wrong, football is a different beast but if there is a minimum contract term agreed upfront, e.g. the length of the season, then all it does is spread the cashflow over several months rather than into one lump.

From working with finance people across several big businesses this is usually much preferred.

Leeds have 4 ways of paying, one of them being a 6 monthly payment scheme. Their example was a £400 season ticket would have a repayable value of £428 spread over 6 months, about £70 a month. Very few people these days pay for stuff upfront, it's a different world to 30 years ago.

Bronco of course they need to make an attractive proposition but if they can offer a subscription at the same price as one off what is wrong with holding on to your money with whatever interest you can attract with possible extra benefits can’t see the problem

Because Bradford is the last place to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Don't fear change.

why would you pay a percentage? There is no finance involved. When the price was announced, Hull just give the price per month. For those that do both abroad it is just the total divided by the number of months it is paid over

If it vexes your so much you could set a new account up that you put your £149 into and let the club take the £14.90 a month for ten months. Same cost for you.

they have revert to season ticket membership, pay in person, via BACS, PayPal, coming soon, or V12 finance via an external firm

Someone mention earlier the opt in whenever part, do the club not risk losing more money than they already do on Flexi cards.

For example December generally consists of 3 matches, 3 X walk ups could be £25 a time where as a one off membership month would come in a £20 meaning the club lose £50 there

This season was a one off we hope, imagine this installment system being in place, many fans being furloughed and not knowing when they would be back at work etc and having the instalments to met each month.
As the club not being able to offer the product would they expect fans to continue paying, where as with us paying up front the majority if not all were happy to let the club bank their season ticket money and take the iFollow option.
Paying up front is not a problem for me but if it is better for others to pay for their tickets on a monthly basis I don't have a problem with that, but I do have a problem being told its the instalment method or nothing, as I believe some club do.

But then you would be tied in to 12 months
